Metagross Evolution

So, I caught a weather boosted Beldum today, level 35 71% IV but with 15A.
I just have the required candy to evolve it but is it really necessary? Is Metagross and Steel type that relevant at the moment or should I be patient and wait for a better IV Beldum to evolve?

It is mainly a trophy defender at this point, and its currently available moves are not very good. I'm waiting and hoping it gets better moves.

It's good for putting up a good fight against Tyranitar, Machamp, and Dragonite. Harder to justify now that Kyogre and Groudon are in the mix, and Moltres gives it a bad day.

It's not terribly relevant but it does have a few niches where it excels. It's the best counter to any fairy type you might see defending gyms. Also as good of a tank as Lugia against double steel Machamp, excellent against Jynx and very good tank against Sludge Bomb Gengar, with more than adequate DPS for soloing them.
As a defender it's not terrible, but more of a trophy.

I would wait for a better IV one, but keep this in case you accumulate enough candy to also evolve it anyway. That's quite a rare catch at level 35.
