Can you solo a Claydol? Has anyone done it and can post the team? Based on pokebattler, it seems possibly but only legacy mons (double shadow Gengar, double water Kyogre) are the only two with a time to win under 180 sec, neither under 165 sec, for any moveset. I guess two maxed Kyogre could do it, maybe with a mew two or Gary in the third slot. Otherwise, hardware seems to be a real issue, lots of gengar in and out with dodge problems (confusion especially).
I tried 4 times today against Confusion/Gyro Ball in cloudy weather.
My best attempt was 1 Kyogre, 2 Garys, 2 Gengars, and 1 Scizor and I think a rain boost would have put me over the top.
Without a weather boost you definitely need 2 high level Kyogres or a Kyogre and a high level PC/SB Mewtwo just to get slightly ahead of the clock. I hope they keep Claydol in the rotation for a long time to come
You have a doable lineup.
I could've done it with 2 Mewtwo 1 Kyogre 1 Gengar, or 1 Mewtwo 2 Kyogre 1 Gengar. But doing all unique attackers is more challenging so I decided to go with 1 Kyogre, 1 SC Gengar, 1 maxed Sharpedo (very similar to Gyarados in terms of DPS, marginally higher actually) and 1 Mewtwo. Solo'd Extrasensory/Earthquake today, and I'll try to complete all unique no weather boost solos for the other 5 movesets.
managed today with a Gengar (only mon not maxxed out) , Kyogre, Gyarados x 2. I also had mewtwo and Tyra but didnt use them.
I originally tried with mewtwo after kyogre but didnt manage it by about 1 second. So i tried Gyarados instead and managed it. No weather boost today either. Claydol had psychic
