Slaking vs. Machamp: has anyone tried it?

Pokebattler says that it's not only possible, but theoretically easy under the right circumstances.

Requirements: cloudy weather, Machamp with Heavy Slam, 6 high level (30+) Slaking with Play Rough, no dodging.

The link above represents a "worst case scenario" with level 30 Slaking and Machamp with C/HS. It's easier with L35 and against BP/HS. I am not as hardcore as many others, and I have 2 Slaking at level 35, with a Vigoroth and a Slakoth waiting in the wings.

Someone needs to do this and record this. I'll try eventually.

This might trump the Xatu solo effort lol, but as you are aware I'm not sure if someone has 6x big slaking yet.

However looking at this video from Prodigies nation, with one of the very few videos on youtube trying to use a slaking against any sort of raid boss: (the battle starts at 5:30) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lslc48qky-4&t=360s

He faced a tier 2 sandslash with Low 4k Slaking (My guess is around Level 33-34). When he reached the 135s mark (1/4 time mark) you can see his progress is not quite 25% damage done.

Now I'm not sure how much easier (or harder) Machamp can be since it is a Tier 3 boss, but has lower defense and the fairy weakness, but if slaking can struggle against sandslash I'm not sure it's a comfortable win even under the right circumstances?

But still it doesn't hurt to give it a shot if the sims say so, I'd definitely be looking forward to a video of this

I saw the prodigies nation video you mentioned. I think the key here is the fairy weakness and close weather. Next machamp I come across, I may test it by leading with my pair of mediocre iv level 35 PR Slakings followed up with the usual suspects and see what happens.

Yeah it doesn't hurt to see what the Slakings can do, there are so many options to make up for time later so to guarantee your win.

I once tried to led off with 2 underpowered tower duo (Level 30 Lugia and Level 28 Fire Blast Ho-Oh), and after a tragic first half (80seconds yellow when they both fainted) my remaining 4 Alakazams brought me back into the clock and I won with 5s left lol.

I think there is a bug with that simulation. Slaking can't top 300 HP so it can only fire 2 PR before fainting (get 1 energy for 2 HP). This means that you can maximum get 12 PR which is a little over half of machamp HP for a maxed slaking.

Yawn generates 15 Energy per use, 1.7s cooldown.

It also say 0 eps, so which one is correct? If it generates 15 energy per use, it should have eps of 8.82, so one of them is wrong.

Are you sure about that? The combat log of that sim shows most Slakings getting off 4 play roughs with some only getting 3. None of them got off only 2.

I know, I was under the impression that Yawn doesn't generate energy since this site state it has 0 EPS, but I could be wrong.
I will test that next time I fight a slaking. See if he can fire a charge move without taking damage.
