Power up useful mons with legacy moves?!
I'll power up some useful mons with legacy moves. Just want to see any suggestions from your guys.
As they are legacy, I'll lower my requirements on IVs say above 70%. My only worry is the return of legacy moves or further nerf.
The following are my candidates:
Dragonite DB DC and DP
Snorlax BS
Lapras IB, Ice S and FB
Exeggutor confusion
Machamp KC XCrop
Gary DP
Any view?

- Dragonite would be a no-brainer IF Latios weren't on the horizon. Sure, it's Rare Candy versus your probably-now-abundant Dratini candy, but I might go that route if your Dragonite is low IV. My L40 DB/DC is 44%, and it puts in fine work. As a move set, DB/DC is fun and worthwhile; as to which Pokemon you choose, it just depends on the nature of the investment you wish to make.
- BS Snorlax is a go.
No on the rest for me, and that's coming from someone who has powered up some of them.
I think none of your legacy pokemon are really worth boosting (if they were mine):
DB/DC Dragonite is nice for low motivation gyms, but I barely use my ones for other things; DP is just horrible.
BS Snorlax is easily the best Snorlax one can get, but the turn-over rate in my town is mostly medium.
Lapras is overrated, imo, there are a lot of ice types that are easier to get and do more dps.
C Exeggutor is very nice, and I have boosted mine, but I think that grass types are not really that important.
KC/XC Machamp is outclassed by KC or C/DP, and KC/DP isn't really that different from C/DP.
DP Gary is trash.
The ones I'd love to have (and boost) would be SC Gengar and RT Omastar; DB/DC Dragonite, BS Snorlax, C Exeggutor, and KC Machamp are quite nice but I would not settle for those at lower IVs (anymore).
The oldest Pokémon I have is an IS/IB Lapras hatched 8/1/16. 13a/15d/11 it is at 2231. I have a bit of Lapras candies 120, I’m going to invest in it. Many other things that I might invest dust in I lack candies. This one I’ve had for a long time, it is already at an OK level and IB at least has 2 bars
I have a similar dilemma with BS Snorlax. I have two but the IV's are around 50 and they are really low level. The stardust and candy investment just doesn't seem worth it for a defender that will get booted no matter what anyway. I have a High level Dazzling Gleam Blissey that doesn't scare anyone.
