Which Snorlax is better?

From this web's data,Body Slam is better than Hyper Beam(in DPS).what's more,HB needs more energy so it can't be used several times during one fight. SO,which one is better?(NO THINKING ABOUT PING)

It depends if as an attacker o defender move. As an attacking charge move I prefer hyperbeam. The actual dps is higher than body slam if you take into account the 0.5 sec needed to activate the charge move and gives you more damage per full energy charge (+50%). As defensive charge move body slam is slighty better as being more frequent and difficult to dodge for less skilled players.

Really?Body Slam‘s ture DPS is 29.49 while the other's is 27.20. Does it wrong?

Unfortunately it's not as simple as looking at the "true DPS" GamePress has listed. Actually, I'd prefer removing those because it really seems to confuse people.

I'd recommend not looking at the "true DPS" at all and just focus on recommended movesets as those seem to be up to date most of the time.

Also, some people say that Body Slam is harder to dodge, some people say the opposite. It depends on a lot of things like how laggy your device can get during long animations. Some people stop DPSing when they see enemy charge move starting, and they lose a lot of DPS waiting for Hyper Beam to be cast and they still might miss the dodge. This is why most of the time I've preferred just getting the moves that deal the most damage on defense. Different moves are hard for different people so it's difficult to rank moves by how easy they are to dodge.

Also, for experienced and better players it doesn't really matter what move the defender has because everything seem to be as easy to dodge once you get to know all the animations and when the yellow flash occurs during the animation.

It's not wrong but it doesn't consider the time needed for activate a charge move (the little blue bar you have to fill up when you want to activate a charge move). It is exactly 0.5 seconds that have to be considered in the overall DPS. Try to add it to the move cooldown and you will find out that hyper beam has an higher DPS.

Furthermore I agree: there are not easy/difficult moves to dodge. It just depends on skill, technique, (lag) and training. So DPS and frequency turn out to be the what really matter, since a skilled player can dodge everything and an unskilled one won't. Hyperbeam is really punishing even if dodged, and an high level snorlax would spam it 3-4 times per match due to the lost HP->energy conversion.

Yeah, I read about that on Reddit. However, I'm not sure why the spreadsheet says: "NO 500ms "charge" time for Special move, It's been shown that the charge can be done during another animation". I'm not sure what the source for this is so I'm still hesitant to draw any definite conclusion to one way or another.

EDIT: Oh and I'm talking about Qmike's spreadsheet.
