Hunting Shiny pokemons

It's just RNG. A friend didn't probably catch even 50 event Pikachu before getting a shiny. At the community day I watched another person get 2 shinies out of their first 5 Dratini within 3 minutes of the event starting.

The shiny chance is increased during the community days

I don't think shiny rates for Pikachu is increased for this event. At least not to the ratio that Dratini had (1 to 15-20).

E.g. my first 2 dratini encounter were both Shiny. And I didn't manage to find any shiny Pikachu so far, despite catching tons.

I got a shiny after catching about a hundred.
I also got 100k stardust in one day just by playing from home to work, work to home. Not a waste of balls at all. What's a waste, it's time. Transferring them one by one... But after today I may do a mass evolution Pikachu session to make more out of this waste of time..

Nope, I barely caught a few Aron and then 3rd or 4th was shiny, fastest shiny ever. Pikachu and Dratini were the ones I had to rake the park for. And shuppet, I had maybe thousands of shuppet candies hoarded up until a shiny Shuppet popped up near my house.

I caught a shiny Pikachu with hat after catching about 10 regular ones.

During the first Community Day I got a shiny almost immediately, like 2nd or 3rd Pikachu.
Took me longer to find a shiny Dratini though, but two of the people I walked with got ones very early on.

Sorry to be that guy but just FYI, you don't need an 's' on the end of Pokemon. It's like saying that farmer has a lot of sheeps.

I saw someone in Silph Road did an unscientific experiment with magikarps last year where he only caught karps (nothing else) for a few days, and the rate seemed to increase.

I was running away from pikachu like a ninny these last couple days. Got a shiny tho
