Time to stock up on 2k eggs for f2p?
With the new egg event coming and knowing that there is no way Niantic will let Rayquaza lose, what are doing if you have hoarded 10k?

I do exactly the same! It's one of the best strategies for f2p.
Although I'm divided about what to do with my 10k eggs. All of them are from the event "Gen3 pokemon only". So, I was holding on to them until a potential double candy event...I may hatch 2 out of 5 and keep the rest for double candy event (it looks like there is none coming soon...)

"If Rayquaza is defeated more than Kyogre and Groudon combined, Pokémon that typically prefer windy weather (for example, Bagon) are more likely to hatch from Eggs from March 5 to March 16. If not, Pokémon that prefer sunny or rainy weather (like Trapinch or Lotad) are more likely to hatch."
Ah, this event. I had not booked this one mentally as an "egg" event, and it was to early in the morning for me to make the connection with the datum. At least that is my excuse. :-) Yes, getting rid of old 10km eggs and stocking up on 2km and coins for incubators might be a good idea. But I will pop my current backlog of 10km only just before it starts, as my supply of incubators will certainly run out during the event.
Like the comment above mine says, the description of the event never stated an increased drop of 10K eggs. So while Beldum or Bagon or Ralts or Dratini may be more likely, so will anything that is psychic/flying/dragon that hatches from a 5K (Scyther, Smoochum, Wingull, Wynaut, Mantine, Gligar, Baltoy) and 2K (Abra, Eggy, Slowpoke, Spoink, Swablu) eggs. Or you could be like me and get your 25th Skarmory! Oh Joy!
