New Years event maybe?
You guys think Niantic will give us some XP/Dust/Candies event ? Looks like not on xmas, but maybe new years 25 Dec ~ 1 Jan ?. I hope yes =((, this hat Pikachu is nothing.

I agree with you, my guess is the Christmas event will be from 22-29, it will end the same day as hat pikachu.
A lot of people is waiting for this event, if they don't do anything they will be more stupid than I thought, and that's a lot to be said xD.
For example here we don't celebrate Thanksgiving or Halloween, but Christmas is a big celebration, all the kids will have at least 10-15 days vacation from school and I am sure they will want to play, that could mean a huge income to niantic if they do it properly.

You might have wanted time off with your family over Christmas, but I'm afraid we're going to have to cancel leave and pull out all the stops. There's a bunch of folks who just aren't happy with a cute hat and the first batch of gen2. We need to do something big."
Kids are out starting this weekend...not having any "new" things to do to get people to play seems like a bad business decision...
Since I believe companies will do what's best for them, I think something will be there, if not, no money spent, no playing, etc...
If people travel, even more time to play at boring family place/people.
Niantic hasn't repeated an event thus far (Halloween was different than Thanksgiving and different that this one). I would say forget about double Candy / XP / Stardust.
I say that it will be either nothing or they will release a few more Gen 2 mons. Increased ice spawns would be awesome (Lapras, Dewgong, Cloyster, Jynx) but don't think that's gonna happen.
You cannot be sure in your initial point, there has only been 2 events, not enough to say that Niantic will not repeat an event, we will have to wait more to see the conclusions.
I mean that only because Halloween and Thanksgiving had different bonus it does not mean this one will too, giving how the game is made at this moment there is no much to offer on events, only candy, xp, dust, spawns, they could also offer more gym coins or drop special items from stops (lucky egg, incubators..) but this is the only thing they will never do, paid items will always be paid.
If I was Niantic I'd run a heavily publicised event from Christmas Eve to New Year to try and catch those kids who got a new phone for Christmas.
Personally whilst I'll take advantage of anything on offer I'm not desperate for another event so soon. The game is decent as is, anything else is a nice bonus - not something to be constantly expected.
