Is Bagon or Beldum the better buddy?

Of course, assuming that you manage to catch at least one of each (but none near level 30 or perfect IVs).

The fact that Rayquaza comes at the same time as Salamence means the latter is kind outclassed the moment it arrives. Metagross, however, doesn't have a typing that's very relevant either. I'd walk Beldum nonetheless as I don't have proper steel types.

I think walking Tyranitar until you have 6 maxed out at level 40 is still the most optimal play right now, although you don't lose much if you are not in the process of maxing out one anyway.

But out of the two you mentioned, Bagon. Metagross just has bad moves IMO.

Actually (and sadly) his moveset is so bad that he is often matched in many matchups by other steel users....which already have little use. It’s pretty upsetting because Metagross’ strength was going to be the justification for finally powering up a steel mon. But now it’s just another mon and there is no real reason I can figure for most to invest in him.

The sims are sad.

Focus on a Salamance or two OP unless you already have a dragon army.

I will become the first player in my area to place a Metagross in a gym, just sayin'...

Beldum, because metagross is pissening and Salamance, well I will soon have both Rayquaza and a strong Dragonite. Too little too late Salamance!

I'd walk Bagon simply because I like Salamence more than Metagross, even if Metagross has probably more use. I wonder if Shiny ones will be in though, as shiny Metagross looks amazing to me.

If you already have several Dragonite powered up, there is not too big a difference between it and Salamence and nerfed Rayquaza.

On the other hand, Metagross is new typing and highest steel type... but has pretty bad moves though.
