Training Gyms
What is the correct formula to calculate the prestige gain when I train a friendly gym?
Answers
Yea.
"Prestige gain are capped at 100 minimum (double defender's CP) and 1000 maximum (half defender's CP). Experience gain is 10% of prestige gained. All of these calculations are based on the highest CP Pokemon in your team of 6 whether or not that Pokemon actually participated in the fight. Adding a Pokemon to a gym also adds an additional 2000 prestige."

go to Allied Gyms.
Use 6 Pokémon with less CP then the weakest defender, then you get 500 prestige per Pokémon defeated.
Of course, you can use smaller PKM to get more prestige, just until the maximum of 1000 prestige for half cp, but then you have to chose your attackers very carefully or the combat will be really hard.
I have a great prestige team that is between 1100-1400. Sometimes depending on the gym make-up I use a lot of 1300-1400 mons. They may be slightly more than half the CP of mons in the gym but it is usually more efficient for me to use them as they are slightly stronger and can usually survive a charge move if I miss a dodge. If I only get 800 per mon I beat I'm fine with that.
I usually pick the first two carrefully just to defeat the first Pokémon and run away to get 1000 prestige, so the other four Pokémon i just select anyone who have half CP too.
Example: there is a Gyarados 2000 CP at the bottom, so i pick a 900~1000CP Jolteon and some Gloom around 900 then i pick all the rest just based in less than 1000 CP, kill the Gyarados using Jolteon and Gloom (if necessary) and run away. Its fast but too boring cuz we cant save selections -.-'.
