I have a few good counters but not enough at level 30. Would it be worth powering up a 98% lapras or 98% shellder? or possibly an articuno? I have 1 good walrein plus a couple okay cloyster and piloswine. Should I invest dust in these ice types or just rely on my golems even tho they do less damage?

Well depends on your raid group size. If you do+15 people like me It doesnt matter what i use i get 1 ball for damage. So rare to see 2 balls.

I got three damage balls on a Kyogre the other day and was like, wtf. How'd I get all these balls.

Usually raid ends in a minute so there is no chance we can get %20 damage in that time.

It used to be different , i m pretty sure. I used to get 3 balls every time. Even in short fights.

If it were me (with relatively scarce dust) I would power up Articuno only, and only to around level 30. I kept ice types that were around level 30 that i got from the Winter Event - those would be sufficient since you dont need ice types outside this matchup really

but that's just me.

I'm working on powering up a 100% Lapras right now. Finally pulled off getting double ice type moves after the 7th CTM.

Sitting pretty on a Lvl 33 Double ice 93% Walrein and a Lvl 32 Co/DG 91% Gardevoir. My Dragonites are both DT/H at Lvls 30 and 27.5 which is acceptable, I guess. But I plan to target a Piloswine and a Cloyster as well, after the Lapras. For the Cloyster, I'll likely have to hit up some raids, as I don't have much to work with in terms of Good IV and Good Moveset mons.

I would definitely like to never use more than 6 mons in a raid, even with low turnout - Kyogre has been very revive intensive. We'll see how that goes.

I figure I will start with some dragonites and a smorgasboard of ice types (articuno, cloyster, lapras, walerien, jinx, swinehub). I have one of each of the ice types powered to 30. I'll wait and see which works best for me and maybe invest in another of that type, if I need to.

If you can farm shellders try to get high level ones evolve those and have some no cost decent dragon killers.
