Is Pinsir worth powering up?

Today I got my first EX pass and was going through my Pokemon building teams for Mewtwo. I saw that I have a perfect Pinsir at level 20 that would need be TM'd to X-Scissor.

Would it be worth the investment to TM and power this up? I already have SC/SB Gengar, S/FP Houndoom, 2 B/C Tyranitars, B/SE Tyranitar, FC/XS Scizor, DT/H Dragonite, DT/O Dragonite and SB Alakazam.

On the fence on this one and need some advice.

It's a decent counter but not if you have better options like that. Also the SB Alakazam will be useless unless Mewtwo knows Psycho Cut and NOT Shadow Ball.

Best thing to do is hit some TTar raids this week. Even level 20 TTars outperform many counters.

Thanks. I was leaning that way. I've got one more B/C TTar at level 20 from a raid with 10/14/14 ADS IV's and some really good Larvitars, but am getting short on candies.

What about Crawdaunt? I don't think it would be really worth it either, but doesn't hurt to check. I just hatched a 14/15/15 Corphish.

Only an option if you caught a level 35 one. It's more or less overshadowed by Houndoom, and it's very easy to find and evolve a weather-boosted Houndoom. It has the same attack, a much better charged move, better tankiness, and is a common Pokemon to find 50 candies for.

I would stick with Tyranitar, and Houndoom is your budget Tyranitar when weather-boosted. Any other options are good IF they're already powered up.

Need to point out that WB Houndour/doom is heavily area/biome dependent. The only one I've seen of that evolution line since the Halloween event was a hatch.

I guess it depends how difficult it is for you to do t4 raids or find larvitar candies. Powering up a Crawdaunt is a huge investment, so you have to think about whether it is easier to find a good Houndour/Raid boss TTar or whether it is easier to find enough stardust and crawdaunt candies.

I think you might find that Crawdaunt's performance will be more dissapointing than you think. Night Slash is an absolutely terrible Charged Move and Crawdaunt has horrible bulk and only decent Attack. You may be better off just including generalists such as Dragonite or Legendaries.

I don't think I would power up one from level 20, but if you can catch some weather-boosted Pinsirs, they can do pretty good damage when it's rainy.
