Mewtwo question after considering breakpoint
Hi all,
I have at last got my first Mewtwo with IV91 (A12/D14/S15).
Using breakpoint calculator it could reach highest dps when going up to Lv40 with both psycho cut/confusion if against Machamp.
Since release of TM, I m very conservative for powering up, with cut-off IV95.6 for minimum. But the EX pass is reali too difficult to get that I would like to ask folks if you would think worth powering this Mewtwo with only A12? Candy would not be a problem to bring it max.

You should power up atleast till 30 because he’s that good and useful, my only Mewtwo is 76% IV also with 12atk and i powered it up and use it daily.
Just think that a 15 atk Mewtwo will have 315 atk stat total while yours and mine have 312 atk total so ours will do at most 1% less damage per hit. Does it still sound terrible?
At first I used psycho cut because of my play style with Alakazam of dodging everything but later I’ve switched to confusion and it’s way better because too many times I found myself in the position of not wanting to fire off my charged move on an almost dead defender and spamming psycho cut to finish off a Pokémon got cringe worthy. With confusion even if I generate energy slower the sheer power of the normal attack made it worth it for me. Oh and weather boosted confusion makes the gap between the two even greater.
Sorry but I reali didnt mean that. I m very conservative on powering up that I even haven't powered up any of my 97.8/95.6 legendary. It sounds like Mewtwo is also becoming a taboo that could not be discussed here...I am trying hard as well - currently completed over 150 raids since release of EX pass...
Even with an attack IV of 10 (the lowest it can get), Mewtwo will have 310 attack power at lvl 40. That still beats out every other Mon in the game by a pretty wide margin.
I'd say it's definitely worth maxing out, and it will serve you well as a strong neutral damage dealer in raid scenarios. If you're the type who likes the ease of dodging, then psycho cut is a good choice. However, if you're looking for the highest possible damage output, consider TMing to confusion. It hits like a truck made of smaller trucks. ?
