Best poison dual typing?

I know poison has little use in the meta right now but I've been coming across some decent level 30-35 wild catches that I don't need to spend any stardust on.

If I were to make a poison squad, what typing if any are ideal? Would it be pure poison (a la Muk) or some dual typing?

Some candidates I find that can fill up the poison roster that have viable movesets:
Victreebel Grass/Poison
Tentacruel Water/Poison
Nido Royalty Ground/poison
Gengar Ghost/poison
Crobat Flying/poison

Muk, Victreebel, Nidos, Crobat and Tentacruel are good. Gengar is a no because it does not learn poison fast moves.

Gengar still has one of the highest poison dps even without a poison fast move.

This. I think pokebattler even pins it as one of the top Celebi (by extension, exeggutor) counters even without exploiting the double weakness to bug AND even considering the amount of fire types that can burn it down.

Hex is weak but charges fast and sludge bombs come out so frequently. Now imagine if Gengar knows poison jab......

Before gen 3 I was hoping so bad that SP was going to be replaced by PJ... now my hopes are not that high but who knows when gen 4 drops...

Victreebel and Gengar might do the most damage, but glassy, Gengar doesn't have a poison fast move, but can still work.
Otherwise maybe Muk, who has solid stats imo.

I would say Muk, as it has decent stats and Gunk Shot is a really good move. Even better than Hydro Pump.

Aside from niche use against some raid bosses, the best use for a poison type in the current metagame is to place in between defenders that are weak to fighting to force the attacker to switch out Machamp.

Tentacruel and the Nidos unfortunately don't have very good defensive moveset choices.

A grass type is not ideal because some players use fire against Blissey (high neutral DPS and resistance to fairy). However, I've had a high Venusar with Razor Leaf/Sludge Bomb for a long time that I like to place in this role. Victreebel with Razor Leaf/Leaf Blade or Razor Leaf/Sludge Bomb could work similarly, but is a little less tanky.

Crobat has some decent movesets and stats. Flying offsets the ground weakness and adds a nice second resistance to fighting. Either Air Slash/Sludge Bomb or Shadow Ball.

Gengar has strong moves, but is a little flimsy on HP. If the only goal is to force out an attacking Machamp, ghost/poison has a whopping tripple resistance to fighting. Either Hex/Shadow Ball or Sludge Bomb.

I learned the hard way (many moons ago) that tentacruel is pretty useless. Pretty much anything weak to water resists poison and vice versa. So that is a bad combo.

I’ve been searching high and low to find a good double poison Muk,
