Kyogre is hard to hit but...

If I actually hit every curve ball with nice/great bonus and GRB, can those balls actually count?

I've already had a weather boosted 14/15/15 run away. Now this 15/14/15 running away too.
9 balls, all curve ball hits. 3 great, 4 nice, 2 no bonus. All with GRB.

It's already that hard to catch that I had to only raid at gyms with team control, and skip lobbies with almost all players from other teams.

That situation you described was clearly rng. That was clearly 9 balls and all of them connected. I can't even do that although i am working on it. For me it's usually either catch it in 1 or 2 balls, usually with a great or no bonus, or simply not catching it at all.

Assuming your 9 balls mentioned above were for the non-weather boosted Kyogre, your chance of catching it was 64.5% using the data on this site. So not that unusual that it ran, My experience is similarly poor, can't hit it with great/excellent curves as for Groudon.

I started 0 for 11 on my LG Android, cracked screen with plastic screen protector...now running mobile hot spot thru my wife’s old IPhone 5s and have it on regular AR...2 for 3 since. Mostly due to actually hitting it and throwing faster/tighter curveballs and moving phone when it shifts left or right.

Did you try to update to newest version, 0.89.1 (Android). With this version, Kyogre will more closer like Groudon so you can easier to do Excellent throw.

Where is this update available? I've got 0.87.5. In Google Playstore, I'm not seeing 0.89.1.

You are so opposite of me. I caught 12/12 Kyogre but most of them doesnt get into 2290s. Never seen anything as great as yours. Funny thing, half of my catch were from missing bonus ball or critical catch
