Does Pinap actually increase the flee rates?

It's not the first time but if you pinapped some pokemon and fail to catch it, it will likely flee without fail and without hesistation. A 126 cp lotad just got pinapped and i caught it using a great ball. It broke free after 2 shakes and FLED. It's not just this, i've tried on 2 Slakoths and 1 Dratini with the same results.

Is anyone else seeing this?

I’m not sure about flee rate but it definitely increases paranoia level

I doubt it, but personally, I quickly adopted the practice of only using Ultra Balls if I decided to use a pinap berry, no reason to not do everything in my power to increase the catch rate if the candy means that much to me.

How's your curveball game? Do you only try to go for Great bonus or better? If you don't, I hate to say it, but git gud.

Also, as rare as lotad are, why didn't you Golden Razz to help make sure you get at least one? You can always buddy up for more candy, and 6 over 3 in that scenario isn't especially worth the headache you're clearly having.

You think i don't curveball? Think again! Doesn't matter anyway. Flee all the way!

Hate to mention this too, but if you fail a catch you don't actually know how on point your curveball game is (Go doesn't specify, a flaw in the current system IMO), still doesn't answer why you pinapped something you haven't yet caught when you could GR, especially after you already failed once.

I've already curveball great ultraballed that lotad with a pinap. It broke free after 0 shakes and fled. It was not a softban, i can still catch things.

Also i forgot to tell you that i already had 2 ludicolos, sorry. I went to singapore (Which had nothing but cloudy and rainy weather) and after i came back there was a whole raining week So i'm not gold razzing it.

Curveball works 100% of the time if you see it visually curving. They fixed that bug months ago and nobody has been able to produce a fake curve like before.

No it does not. I could ask the same of GRB because the only Dragonite I ever saw in the wild ran after 2 curved greats with GRB and Ultra ball. But the truth is it's just RNG and your sample size isn't large enough for these anecdotal experiences to matter.

No.

I've never found this to be any more prevalent with Pinap than with any other berry. Not even enough to think it might be possible that Pinap increase the flee rate. The only thing I've seen that MIGHT increase the Flee rate is that normally they seem to flee after I've entirely missed them (ie: no bonus) on the first ball AND I'm moving pretty fast. (like playing on the bus) Nothing else seems to consistently cause a Pokémon to flee - and even that situation seems to be rare enough that I don't normally associate them.

Make it harder to catch the Pokémon? I've got anecdotal evidence of that - particularly with the 9 Starters and Pikachu (I just had a CP 12 Mudkip jump out of a Great Throw/Curveball throw when using a Pinap, which boggled my mind), but I have not seen any evidence whatsoever that Pinaps increase the Flee rate.

Also, you've got really bad luck with the Slakoth's. My area is swarming with them (like many area's, I would imagine) so I've got 2 Slaking's right now just for fun, and even on the CP 700+ Slakoths, I'm having very little trouble catching them with Pinaps. Even caught a level 33 Slakoth with a Pinap (CP 801) last week with an Ultraball and a Curveball. Seriously, they seem to be easier to catch than Weedles. (*bleep* you, Weedles. *Bleep* you.)

Dratini... those are just a pain no matter what. I've decided not to screw with them, and if the CP is over 200, I use a Golden Razzberry. I've had so many jump out and then flee, at all potential CP's and levels (up to 30, anyway) that the 4 candies is more important than trying to get that extra 3.

I don't think it affects the flee rate, though I feel it increases the breaking free rate. Especially with Treecko. I pinap, ultra-ball, curve, and great throw all the time and they break out far more than I feel they should. Often I finally catch them after i've run out of pinap and switch over to regular ball, with no throw bonus (because I don't care anymore). Sometimes, I just skip right to the bad regular ball throw to save time and berries.
