Would you rather have a pokestop or a gym inside your house?

Spawns are common, nothing rare.
Gym:
+guaranteed gym coins and easily controllable by your team
+ You get 8-10 items every spin with boosted rate of revives and potions
- Unavailable to use lures

Stop:
+Taking advance from 6h lures
-"only" 3 items every spin

I'd say gym, but I don't really want people anywhere near my house playing this.

I would like a pokestop. I run out of pokeballs quicker than potions. Gyms are also an option just knock all the pokemon at a very late time at night. Gyms also mean raids will appear. It depends more on the player's activity.

I would prefer a gym. I have a hard time getting to raids so raids in my home would be excellent. I need balls much more than potions/revives but I could get enough and trash the extras.

I’d prefer a gym for the items but I’ll stick with a stop thanks to real life experience. We live at the back of a housing area with two dead ends. We have a stop and the other end has a gym. We have a very active Discord group which includes a lot of car owners. Weekend and evening raids can easily attract 15-20 players and most ignore the rules about resident and visitor parking spaces. In one extreme case the gym had the first Ho-oh raid in our area and 100 people turned up leaving cars in the middle of the street just as most residents were returning from work.

Gym, with a "slightly" higher chance of getting a Mewtwo invite.

I would say a stop since I never find a time when I feel like using the lures I've had for a few months, also since there's a gym on the church at the end of the block from my house, but there's also a player on an opposing team who must live in the apartments next door to the church who never lets my defenders be for any length of time, unless I take the gym very late at night, so maybe I'd pick a gym.

A gym. I won't get the daily spin bonus but at least I might catch a raid on days when the weather is too annoying. Plus I'd let some people stay in it for a while, lol.
I already have 2 pokestops near my house, though i only reach them if my character decides to drift toward them.

Sadly, this may never happen since if every player got a gym in the cities, you'd have a hard time seeing anything on the map because of them. For rural areas however, this would be very useful. Heck even giving them a private spawn would be useful at this point.

I'm fairly certain the gym stops are indistinguishable from normal ones, and you do get the daily bonus from them, though if you are really that close to some normal stops it makes sense that you always hit one of those first thing every day and would never notice yourself.

I remember someone saying they can't get daily bonus, so I thought it didn't act like a real stop. But one thing they have lost is the ability to tell what pokemon are near them. I no longer see the park's spawns around gyms on the Nearby scanner, whereas before I knew what nest the one near a famous house hosted. Now I have to go there and see what pops up.

The lack of nearby is the worst thing about the gyms. The gym near my house I mentioned in my first post was originally a stop, and there had been a few times particularly rare mons appeared at it and I could notice (once a blastoise, and another time a dragonair showed up late at night and I still walked down to get it). Now I don't get the benefit of that anymore.

Gym stops deliver daily spin bonuses; I attempt to make my first spin of my 7day streak at a nearby gym (typically having a mons in there defending it) for the plethora of items

Gyms give the daily bonus...7 day streak on a gold gym has given me as much as 34 items.
I always prefer my first spin of the day to be a gold badge gym...if not then you are missing out.

On topic..gym for me
