Kyogre counter

Gamepress isn't even mentioning Zapdos in it's list of best counters...I was surprised that it got one-shoted by Blizzard, but I still managed to get off three TB and vs. Thunder it survived quite long. Same applies to Jolteon. Are these electrics really that bad or is the list just incomplete?

Because it’s not remotely one of it’s best counters. Even if you dismiss its crud movesets, it takes neutral damage from both Thunder and HP and is weak to Blizzard. Why on earth would you be surprised Blizzard destroys a flying type?

Raikou is the superior option hands down. Grasses are more viable against it when it has Thunder or HP. Blizzard is his best defensive move and answers are harder to find when he has it.

Zapdos does OK against Thunder and HP. With HP the difference between Raikou is the narrowest.

I am don't know which other Pokemons to slot into the 5 slots besides Raikou. Almost all the Pokemons mentioned in GP are weak to Blizzard.. Guess Vaporeon will be better than using Dragonites or Groudon as mentioned here..
