Why is everyone hyped about Rayquaza being a flying attacker?

They don't realize Aerial Ace is garbage right? The only viable moveset seems to be Dragon Tail/Outrage.

Or it's actually a good move but the pokemon that learned it are horrible?

Aren´t you that self called "expert" player? No offense, just wondering

Aerial Ace is garbage, but Rayquaza would still be the strongest flying type attacker then, which isnt´t really important until you fight against something with a double weakness.

But for me, it would be interesting, because
- I already have several strong Dragons/Generalists
- "just in case" Flying becomes relevant (Breloom Raid f.e.)

I think it's just because Rayquaza is so much fun to say.

Rayquaza. RAYquaza. RayQUAAAAAAAAZZZZZZZZZAAAAAAAA!

You can scream out "Rayquaza" in almost the exact same way as you can scream out "Leeroy Jenkins!".

"RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY (breathe) QQQUUUUUUUUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Rayquaza.

Most of my excitement for Rayquaza is that it will be pretty easy to beat. A lot of time saved, xp, TMs, extra rare candy earned.

Easy to beat, difficult to catch. We don't know but it could be worse than boosted ivysaur (One of the hardest to catch raid bosses in the game in my opinion).

For hair-pulling hilarity, they should make Rayquaza fly around like Zubat or Yanma.

That difference is maybe a minute of battle time. Doesn't exactly seem that relevant.

Chatting to get battles off the ground is a chore, I'd rather use that time/effort to walk and catch. Also, if it is easier to beat and still worth catching it opens the possibility to get raids happening at unpopular gyms: churches and restaurants
