Vaporeon Blues

Does anything know what to do? Does anyone else seem to have an endless supply?

Keep two of the top attacking movesets and one of the top defensive moveset (best IVs of course).

Transfer the rest. No need having so many.

There is. Vaporeons are always a good choice to put in a gym; even more so when all your other good Pokemon already occupy a gym.

Ugh. Every gym around me is filled with Vaporeons with the occasional Gyarados thrown in. Some variety would be nice.

Of course it would. But it won't change as long there is this large discrepancy between the number of Vaporeons a player possesses and the number of other top-tier-threats.

Completely disagree.

Diversity is the name of the game. Build up different mons and teams, attack with some variety, and leave some randoms in gyms. It's completely boring and lame to me to have an army of Vaporeons.

I have 5 Vaporeons per the "rule" I said above. None ever occupy a single gym and I am currently holding 16 gyms in So Cal.

You do not need an army of Vaps. It's overkill, lame, and par for the course.

I have just stopped evolving them because don't even need more, I have 13, 10 of them with Hydro Pump, 6 with more than 2500 CP and 2 maxed out at my level (33) the lower ones I use for prestige gyms, but even with that I am at 890 eevee candies and have 10 eevee with 90%+IV waiting for next gen's.

A part from pidgey, rattata, caterpie, weedle, zubat and rest of the crap eevee is by far the most common spawn for me.

I never ever transfer pokemon that are useful or can be useful to prestige; also your vaporeon are high cp so ther is no reason to throw them away

This kind of post is nothing new. We all were in the same situation like this. Look at your cats cp I think you already have smth in your mind but you just wanna show, right?

Time to be harsh.
Just last night I transferred what at one time were my best mons. Painful - yes. But it must be done.

I agree it's time to start trimming the fat. Only keep an amount that's a certain IV or above and trash the rest. Like my rule is 88%+ and A rated move set. Keeping a minimum of 1 for atk and 1 for def the rest transferred unless I'm scarce on that mon. Vapes for example I have like 8 of them but none are below 88% IV. That's mainly because he's useful for offense or defense and all his moves are A rated. If the mons rating was poop like say electrode. I'd only keep 2 of the highest rated IVs with the best moveset for attack and def then transfer the rest.
My only other exception is 100% IV mons they can have the worst moveset available to them. I'll still keep them but I'll also have at least 1 other attack & at least 1 other defender

Edit: I still have 82%+ Eevees but those are for gen 2+ eevolutions until I get to a point where I'm trimming them down as well.

It doesn't seem like you have too many vaporeons to me. They are easy to acquire top tier defenders, and it looks like you are already using four of them in gyms. You wouldn't want to get rid of those. It's also nice to have a range of CP ones with hydro pump for prestiging gyms (the IVs on these ones don't matter), and your highest IV one with hydro pump fully powered up as an attacker.

I have a Vaporeon, just one. Eevee should be fairly common in the city I live in, or so they say, yet I rarely find any. At one point I actually had problems getting enough candy to keep the one I have powered up.

dont transfer them just wait to trade them.

Without even knowing his IVs, they have zero trade value. Most hard hitting players already have an army of these or at least a handful of high IV options.

I have 29 Vaporeons. I'm a hoarder and probably need to make room for gen 2 mons. But I love my mid level vapes of 900-1300 CP as prestigers.

Having a bunch can prove useful if you are hitting a bunch of gyms and run out of potions or revives.
