I know all expect Kyrogue to be released soon, but I think it is also possible Rayquaza bill be up next. I habe several Dragonite, two of them maxed out at lvl40, and two others at 35,5. My other options are all at lvl 31,5. Those include a Lapras, two Cloyster, a Walrein, two Gardevoir. I think, the Cloysters, the two max Dragons and Lapras are safe. What would you go with for the sixth slot?

I think Cloyster would be best. Despite having the worst stats of the three, its attack is slightly higher than Walrein and it has a better charged move that's also two-bar: Avalanche.

I also think that Gardevoir is only good against Dragon-type movesets. Rayquaza can also carry a double-air moveset, as well as AncientPower. Remember that Gardevoir doesn't have a Fairy quick move and isn't as effective as ice against Flying/Dragon.

Gardevoir is not a perfect fit right. We all know Ice is best, but most of us don't have six powered up ice pokemon, but very strong Dragonites. Where is the line where a dragon surpasses ice in efficiency? Would you take the lvl 31,5 Walrein or the lvl 35,5 Dragon?

L35 Dragonite is better except against double dragon moves, where they have the same DPS but Walrein has more TDO.

Unless it takes a long time to rejoin a raid I'd just go with the most DPS which would be the 4 Dragonites, and Cloyster or Walrein over the Lapras, as you can always rejoin if you need more than 6 attackers but if you don't need all 6 then it makes more sense to use the ones that do the most damage in a limited amount of time.

Gardevoir lacks a fairy quick move, Confusion has low energy gain so you don't use Dazzling Gleam as much as you'd want and Charge Beam is worse even with the higher energy gain. It's only really useful against Dragon Tail + Outrage, where it's really tanky but still doesn't do as much DPS as the top counters - a bit like Lapras, so even against the best moveset matchup I'd save it for a second team or put it sixth if I had nothing better.

With kyogre depicted in their concept art for the gen 3 water/ice type Pokémon release, I highly doubt it. That being said, i’d choose whomever you think would output the most dps in the 6th slot, and then create a second team to come in with the rest

I’m planning to use my best ice mons. Spheals have been spawning like crazy where I am, and I’ve caught 229 so far. I have four at L33+ that I plan to evolve soon and hopefully get a double ice moveset on at least one. That clown walrus will join my powered up Lapras and Cloyster to form the core of my group. I’ll round it out with my Gardevoir and 2 Dragonites.

Yes, the IVs are pretty good on each. One has a 15 attack, and the other are 13. All have at least 740 CP.

It has been raining for the past three days here. Hopefully that keeps up when Kyogre arrives!
