Another power up Mewtwo question (sorry)

Hi guys, today I was able to capture my first 82% Mewtwo (14-10-13) and my question is beyond whether I power up or not, it is if Atk10 is significantly lower than Atk15?. It has Psychocut + ShadowBall. (Sorry my bad English, greetings from Chile).

I would initially take it to 30. Actually I've done it twice. 12a/12d/10s 2209 and then a 13a/12d/10s 2216. I still have 115 Mewtwo candy stored if I catch a better one someday.

My first and only Mewtwo was exactly the same as your 2216! 13A12D10S lol. Maxed it out right away. A Mewtwo is a Mewtwo.

Mewtwo is always useful especially in numbers since it is relatively glassy, which is more than can be said about Groudon. You also got a great moveset, lucky you!

I have a 91% Atk 12 / Def 14 / Sta 15. I powered him to Lv 30 and will max him out as soon as I reach level 38 . My other and last one is 71% Atk 12 / Def 10 / Sta 10 at Lv 20 right now. I plan to power my 71% to 30 at least.

My advise: Power him to Lv 30 and have fun with him! Then save resources (dust and rare candy) for your second. :)

Thanks for your answers and opinions, but I would like to emphasize if a Mewtwo Atk10 is significantly lower than one of Atk15. I run according to the Breakpoint calculator where I see that reached a certain level, having Atk10 IV does the same damage as an Atk15 IV. That is what I would like to know and what you think.

There is a significant difference in power ups required to reach a certain break point, yes.

But this is despite the fact that the damage done is already high. In your example you are comparing 9 damage per quick attack with 10, while both are already crazy high.

If this is your first one pretty sure you won't get more than 3...you shouldn't compare Mewtwo 10a with Mewtwo 15a...you should compare Mewtwo to Gengar/Espeon/Alakazam or as a very general generalist (Dragonite or a huge Tyranitar). Many times people just need a place to store rare candy, I sure did. 2222 pretty worthy to take to level 30, perhaps higher later on

Your definition of "significantly" is different from mine. 23,000 stardust and 22 rare candies to reach breakpoint maximization doesn't strike me as "significant" when dealing with one of the hardest mons to catch in the game...

Love Santiago, spent three months there doing research work in 2005. Great city, and glad to hear there's a thriving PoGO community there. Probably rocking the Heracross - wish I had one.

Man, Heracross is my favorite pokemon and you don't know how lucky I felt to know that he was from our region. Cross your fingers for the pkmn trade and we can change some day :D
