More EX Passes out - More Generous This Time?

EX Passes for 1/16 went out today. I finally got one! I've been left out of a lot of them lately. I've also heard of many more players receiving their first ever pass this time. It seems like they're being much more generous with this batch of them. This doesn't mean larger raid groups, but instead more locations simultaneously.

It seems to be Starbucks and Parks this time. Mine is for a park. So far I've only found one other person in my group (and they're a low level) so I'm a bit nervous, but after catching a perfect raid TTar yesterday (my first perfect raid boss), I'll be able to form a stacked team of max mewtwo, 4 max perfect TTars (If I really get going on candy this week), and a max DT/SA Lugia.

Congrats on getting your second EX pass.

Some of us are still hoping for that first one.

I've had three, but I live in a large area that has lots of EX-Raids. The past few have all been downtown or in the adjacent city, and this one isn't the one that I've gotten the rest of mine at (Which hasn't had an EX Raid in months)

There's a guy here that just got his 10th (On one account)

We have two ex raids this time and it was also this week (yesterday) when we tried the triggering method at various gyms. None of the gyms got an Ex-raid, but a gym that has had an Ex-raid previously has gotten one and another that apparently is being raided at a lot.

So two at the same date is a novelty here.

Odds as I see them: 15% chance it is Kyogre instead of Mewtwo on 1/16

Normally I would think that but after Kyogre was nerfed to Groudon's stats and lost its ability to learn Dragon Tail, I think Kyogre will be a normal Tier 5 Raid Boss.

You are almost certainly correct, only small possibility is if they gave Kyogre a very limited release for the first week. If not, then YouTube and the internet will have people showing off their 12 Kyogres in 2 days.

I would say 95% that it is Mewtwo, but if it isn't, I'd bet on Mew or Celebi over Kyogre.

286 successful raids. No invite ever.

You could have over 9000 raids and not get invited. You need to raid certain gyms for EX invite chances.

And that doesn't necessarily help either. There's a person in my area who had over 2000 raids done and had been grinding potential ex gyms hardcore for months before they got their first invite.

I've had it with EX-raids ever since I was robbed of my Christmas day Sprint pass. Won't ever do business with Sprint, either; I blame them as much as Niantic.

The whole system sucks and has to go. But I'm not holding my breath.

As far as I know, EX raids are still limited by area and that doesn't seem to have changed (search silphroad for "ex raid S2 cell" if you want to know more).
Was only qualified for just one gym this time and lost the lottery.

Are you serious? I don't get ex raid passes even i had raided around 5 or 6 parks this week.
