Better option for Kyogre team
Looking to finalize my Kyogre team for its eventual release. Which is a better option to put on a Kyogre team? I was planning on maxing one of these.
100% Sceptile with double grass moves
100% Exeggutor with double grass
91% Ho-Oh with extresensory/solar beam
Are there any other pokemon that are presumed to do well against Kyogre? Right now my team is Raikou, Zapdos, Jolteon, Venusaur, Exeggutor

You will probably also shift around depending on Kyogre's charge move. Against Hydro Pump, for example, you can fill in extra spaces with Dragonite.
FYI, on Sceptile, Fury Cutter is better than Bullet Seed and allows for better dodging. Bullet Seed is only better if you are exploiting a double weakness, and even then not better by very much.
Fury cutter is better huh? Interesting. I never considered that. I might change it then. I think Sceptile looks awesome and would love to have one as part of a team. My only concern is that it was rumored to be a glass cannon, which I am not overly fond of with the death bug during legendary bosses.
BS is pretty bad for a quick move and FC having such high EPS combined with the fact that the charge move is the amazing Leaf Blade, FC ends up giving you more damage.
Sceptile is a glass cannon, it's not a rumor. Exeggutor is tankier but that doesn't help unless it's high enough level to tank through charge moves reliably and get Solar Beam off. Sceptile is much more reliable in that it will always get off 2-3 Leaf Blades before dying. And Blizzard will KO both of them regardless of level, making Sceptile always better against that moveset.
I have 15 grass Exeggutors, 2722 to 2100--11 of them solar beam and 4 seed bomb. 2026, 1919, 1889 Grass Victreebel. 2168 grass Vileplume. 2302 Sceptile FC/LB***typo edit***. 1855 Meganium VW/Solar Beam. 5 Sunfloras in the 1600s.
I will use them all against Kyogre, only thing in doubt is which very few will I revive/potion up.
I don't have enough potions to play it full strength every time, considering I end up battling 20 to 30 of these when they're out a month. I'm gonna punt some times, 13 unpowered Raikous will get used too. Sometimes dummy team first, auto selected real team when they quickly faint---When it has hydropump people's Lugias are going to be autopicked. People that switch their autoselected Lugias out and replace them with Jolteons, Ampharos, extra Zapdos, Raikous, etc are going to get mopped over and over again, for usually just 1 more ball. I'll take my Lugias out, but when in mid-sized groups, put in trash grass to lead off instead
I would advice you to use Venusaur before Exeggutor (as long as it has solar beam as its charge move). The quick attack of Venosaur is just so much better than the grass attack from the Exeggutor. Furthermore, Venusaurs defence is way better which may just allow you to launch one extra solar beam before it faints.
