replacement for EX raids

I've seen so many petitions to get rid of the EX raid system personally I like it but that's not the point of this thread so please don't comment about that. what would be the way that people want mew2 to be obtained by. I want specific answers not, what I see allot " a clear way to get it" I mean THE clear way to get it. the best I can think of is that if you hit both your 7 day streaks 10 weeks in a row then you get a mew2 pass but I don't know if that would make it to easy to get what are your thoughts

I thought something like this.
You may find it in a 7 day streaks in the same gym where you have at least silver badge... yu'll not find it for sure but it will have a percentage of spawn, something like 5%, if you don't get it you'll receive 3 rare candy to comfort you or more rarely an incubator.

Every time you didn't get it the percentage may increase of 10%... once you obteined one ex-raid the percentage will return to 5%.

At the minimum more EX raids, Mewtwo isn't that tough to beat...with that, more invites to higher level players, especially those with 400+ raids. They've tried to make money off of Mewtwo far too long, without really making it available in many cities/region/countries/continents. They should just move on from Mewtwo, but they have to give more people/areas a real chance at it first

Or make it so everyone who did a raid at a gym gets one? Nothing breeds resentment among the community quite like hearing that you both did a raid at the right place but only a select few got it.

progressively harder invites. 1st invite at some modest level, 2nd less likely etc. People should not have 10 invites while others have 0.

I'd say a really small number of people have received 5+ invites on one account, no matter where they are. Part of the problem with EX raids, Niantic has such an off base recommended raiding size---this might limit how many raids they schedule. It doesn't take any more to beat Mewtwo than all those other legendaries that hardcore raiders have beaten 200 to 500 times

Currently, an Ex Pass is valid only for a specific Ex Raid at a given location and time. It should be valid for any Ex Raid (regardless of location or time) in the next month (or other reasonable time).

Hadn't thought of this til you just mentioned it, but a lot of interesting potential solutions included there

but this is their way of trying to control the number of people at a single location. they wouldn't want 40 people at one spot and 4 at another.

How about Mewtwos are released in various cities at the end of every month. People who have done 30 raids that months get an invite?

Oh wait, that's no good. People can do their 30 raids using free passes. So bump it upto 60 raids per month and force people to spend their Wonga!!

That's actually a fairer system, even if it is money grabbing.

Your "money-grabbing" comments are getting old. This is a free game, with the *option* for a player to spend money if he so chooses.

i don't want to do a harry (and not everything he says is wrong) but

passes should not be tied to one time or place for a couple of reasons.
1. it creates even more geographical privilege, which is already a major issue in the game.
spoofers and people that live close to known ex raid gyms are disproportionately rewarded due to the ease that they can continually hit a gym. Sure have designated ex raid gyms in parks or even the sponsors but don't make it so you have to earn the pass at that gym only.

2. being told how, when, were and with whom I can play is.....(trying not to say something disrespectful), I have Tuesdays off i can raid easily Tuesday I work all day Monday and people depend on me. no your pass is Monday but.. no you play Monday, but ... do what we say...

3. I know that the numbers from the first general release raid support niantics statement about criteria but my personal experience since suggests that these are not true it appears completely random and if anything there appears to be bias towards accounts with lower levels of utilization.

4 communication needs to improve perhaps the raid schedule and pass release schedule should be public knowledge so if this weeks ex raids are on a work day i can just raid were i want to without spending several hours travelling to ex raid sites to earn a pass for a raid i can't attend.

1,000 coins per ex raid pass

How about this: every five gold gyms, you get an ex-raid pass that is good for any ex-raid at a time and place of your choosing.

There is one big issue with several of these suggestions. Niantic has to ensure that there is some minimum number of raiders to accomplish the goal. Hit 7 day streak x weeks in a row? Yay! Rural solo player gets an EX pass that they then can’t use! Maybe you end up being the only one or one of 3 that accomplish that. Get your 5th gold gym? Maybe you’re the only one that week? Niantic letting you keep the EX and use it like a premium pass at any EX would improve that but then you have to be tied into Discord or some other chat group to know where the EX opportunities are.

I think Harry may be on the right track but perhaps it should be a little less money grubbing. Say, 8-10 raids in a week (1-3 premium passes required...can be achieved with free passes and gym coins such the F2P can still be eligible) AND at least one raid must be at a Niantic identified EX gym location. “Parks” and sponsored gyms is way too vague. Is that a green space identified on the in-game map? Is that a gym with “Park” in the name?

In this scenario, Niantic should clearly identity gyms that are EX raid locations. Then, passes should still be RNG and not necessarily 100% sure thing, perhaps modified by gym status (50% chance - gold, 35% chance silver, 20% chance bronze ... but gym status is hard to implement fairly given the uneven distribution of teams and the way that plays out in terms of ability to get gym defense hours for minority teams).
