Most fanatical GO player you've seen

Whose the most fanatical go player you've ever seen?

The most fanatical i've seen is a guy from my old town, that i moved from last month. He travels to a big city for about eight hours a day doing raids and catching Pokemon. He once traveled 200 miles because he thought there was a dratini nest somewhere. He was doing this before raids came out, he's totally devoted to GO. He reached level 40 before raids appeared and you could just buy your way up the levels. I'm not sure anyone else in my old town was even playing GO before raids appeared but that didn't stop him.

As far as i'm aware he has no other interests. He does have a girlfriend but i think he just uses her for sex, his true love is Pokemon afterall. At one point he said he started going to the gym (one with dumbbells not Pokemon) complete waste of time. No way he was going to stick to that with his GO addiction.

Me and him don't get on, as you might be able to tell by the disdainful way i speak about him. Anyway, whose the biggest Go fanatic you've met?

A guy that has 3 accounts, for each team 1. 2x level 39 and 1 level 40, he raids with 3 phones.

I've seen someone raid with five phones. Their local Instinct group here in So Cal shares all their logins, so they can have just one member do raids for a bunch of them, and flip and stack gyms with defenders from their group. They are also a bit on the agro side, and many other players in the area want nothing to do with them.

I think I'd call that over the top game devotion.

Report them for cheating and TOS violations, especially if they're aggressive. Niantic probably won't do anything about it though.

He's probably not all that fanatical compared to a lot of people, but the one level 40 player around here (who once took a trip 2000 miles away just for the sake of accessing different regionals) has an obnoxious attitude occasionally. Just a few days ago, he jumped into a conversation to give me a hard time with sarcastic and mocking comments after I mentioned to someone else that I don't spend money on this game. I wasn't even criticizing people who do spend money, just saying that part of the game to me is to achieve everything I can with only what I can earn within the game itself, after someone asked me why I hadn't maxed out both my storage upgrades yet.

Another time he started angrily chewing me out because I said I didn't want to bike 12 miles in the rain to do a raid right then. He's also the guy who followed me around one time in the old gym system, kicking me out of every gym I went to the instant I left, so I couldn't even collect 20 coins for that day.

I don't know, the large majority of the time, he's friendly enough, but just once in a while he gets a little aggressive.

I met somebody like that once and just laughed. It's a mobile phone game. it's nice to see somebody passionate about something but you aren't better than anybody for having better pokemon or higher experience points. I say this as a level 40 player.

Your local level 40 player sounds like a dick.

Maybe it's a thing among level 40 players who play all day, having that sort of arrogant nature?

Some of us, unfortunately. I'm usually more wary than pleased when I see another 40 because there's a good chance they're another one of those lunatics who don't understand it's just a game.

Have you heard of that Brandon Tan? I think that is his name. I heard he has something like 310 million xp. It's the highest xp in the world for a player. It's gotta be that guy.
