Cant be THAT hard to release the birds,and see the game rise in fame instantly! Like the second after. Make them hard as hell to catch, I dont know.. But RELEASE something playable!! Not weak babyes

LOL. Just play the game, dude. That hype made about the event wasn't made by Niantic, but by random players that thought they knew anything. It would be stupid for a huge company that Niantic is becoming to release everything in a single event. Try to complete the pokedex with the new pokemon now. Untill then, they will release another ones.
I agree about the hype, but I disagree with regards to the alleged stupidity. I find it rather stupid to just release some silly baby Pokémons that I guess will be quite useless except as Pokédex stuffing.
Having a small chance to get some selected weak Pokémons from eggs is not likely to motivate anyone to keep playing. Some will keep playing, others will be fed up with Niantic's crap and go elsewhere.
Agreed with you. But who said that Niantic wants to motivate everyone to keep playing just right now?
Maybe it's just not the right time. The loyful players (the ones who pays to play are inside this group) are still there. There will be no difference for Niantic to do big releases just right now. It will release this things in the right time. Probably Niantic knows the statistics about the money they're making more than random players lol.
Since yesterday I just expect the worst from Niantic, so my guess is this, they put pichu and some others into the 5k pool because they want us to buy as many incubators as possible, the 5k mon pool is the biggest of the three ones (2k and 10k can hatch less variety of them even being harder to get than 5k) so people will need to buy a LOT more incubators to get pichu and the others that come from the 5k eggs, their % amount like 40 other mons will be extremely low...
Maybe they haven't come up with a good way of introducing the legendaries without horribly unbalancing the game.
Niantic promised new Pokemon and that's what we've got. The rest was just fan/clickbait hype.
I'm sure there will be other events coming along, but with the majority of players living in the Northern Hemisphere I expect a Spring release is most likely for a more major drop of Pokemon.
Any new drop will reduce the chances of catching existing Pokemon (unless spawn rates are dramatically increased) and there are a lot of players who are no where near completing the initial dex.
My guess as well. They have a nut to crack here, if the legendaries are too easy to get they will soon dominate gyms. If they are extremely rare the vast majority of players will never ever have a chance to get one, triggering a lot frustration. In my community many active players have still not got Porygon, and it took me until level 33 before I got it.
I don't think the problem is about unbalancing, they can't say that when they have just made a Lapras event, how can a legendary bird per person unbalance the game and getting people hundreds of Lapras and candies not?
And I am not angry for getting the hole gen2, I just want more transparency from a company to their players, they are making milions per day, the least they can do is keep their players informed, I was waiting for a Christmas event and a release date of gen2, not today, not tomorrow, just say the date so people can calm and keep playing, you can't just say big news are coming, new in game events, new mons, and put baby mons (only from eggs, so they are saying "give me your money we don't care about you") and a pikachu with a hat that took me literally 10 mins to get without even going out from home, they should have known people would get mad!
If you give only the chance to get ONE bird per person I don't think it would unbalance absolutely anything, you have dragonite, lapras, snorlax, even a gym with one of each birds will go down, it's very easy to kill any mon, you just need to know it's weaknesses.
And yes, it's true that Lapras had mostly local influence (also lot of people travel there to get many Lapras) but in my opinion having for example 40+ 2400 Lapras is a lot more unbalancing than one bird per person, even if they give us the 3 birds (which won't happen) it would not change absolutely anything, and with gen2 mons like tyranitar, the new legendary dogs, etc...nothing has to change
They won't release the birds or the full gen2 just for a reason, they want us to spend money on incubators to get the cute Pichu and Togepi, how cute are they? If they can make milions just putting babies why even bother to get the most player base happy? That's why I keep saying people I know to save their money, buy only with in game coins, and make Niantic now that we want more.
Then again that event was paid for by japan or I think that area point is niantic was paid to do the event. A Planning also has to go into these events especially since niantic wants to do a big event for the legendaries. But that still doesn't excuse their lack of communication with us who still play the game and only giving us baby pokemon that evolve into gen1 pokemon that most of us probably already have aside from togepi.

They are releasing the Pokémon according to the anime. What was your suggestion?? Ignoring the babies knowing they are at Pokémon? Releasing the legendary ones just because you want to? LOL. THAT is stupid. Watch the anime and you'll know the next ones to be released. Wait untill the time Niantic will know they will be making more money by releasing the birds. That's how a company works.
Not because I want, because everybody wants. To shake things man.. When was the last time u lose a gym battle? When the last time the game made u go wow! I mean they are just making bad decisions. What is this new radar!? U cant see things close to you.. They didnt see that coming? HOW NOT? You play for 1 minute ans notice nearby are worse then the old radar. They actually made it worse!!!
My suggestion is to add babyes togheter with the 2gen.. Atvleast put them on the wild/ what motivation to walk like crazy to get a pokemon worse then a middle evolution????
