When is the defenders list going to be updated to reflect gen3?

It’s been a minute- are updated gym defender tier lists on the horizon?

Zangoose is at the top of my defender list.

I catch them, they aren't usually boosted so they are easy to secure. I obviously don't need the Zangoose candy---generally 1200 to 1700cp. Instead of straight throwing them away like I do with the harder to catch Roselia...I put them in. THEY GIVE A STRIKING LOOK WHEN I'm TRYING TO PUT SOMETHING IN QUICK AND MY POKÉMON ARE ORGANIZED FROM RECENT TO OLDEST---14.5 hours ago I put in a Vileplume and a Dazzling Gleam Alakazam in gyms side-by-side at a restaurant on a busy street in a big city...nobody fought them, nobody has put another Pokémon next to them

Next year.

That's probably when Niantic will end up releasing the rest of generation 3. Beyond that, we fight things like Omastar with an 18915cp---right now good defenders need to be a nuisance that doesn't shed cp

Tier 1: Golden Razz
Tier 2: Blissey
Tier 3: anything in the 1200-1600 range to avoid massive cp decay
Tier 4: whatever I recently caught that looks cool

Seriously though, I don't think there adjustments until we see a full gen 3 release. At this point, throw in Walrein and Milotic. Otherwise probably not a whole lot changes.

That's not too far off from my list:

Tier 1: Golden Razz
Tier 2: Anything placed after most rival trainers have gone to bed
Tier 3: Anything that is not worth spending a revive on
Tier 4: Anything that is allowed in gyms

Gym decay makes gym too easy. So I don't think attack & defender tier is necessary.

In Singapore, gyms rarely last eight hours and Blisseys are regularly fed Golden Razzberries.

Raided a Groudon in cloudy conditions this afternoon, I got on the chat board 50 min before hatch trying to get people there. This park of 4 gyms has had 10+ EX raids...I'm 39 and I got a 40, 37, 33, and a 32 there, but a 30 was coming 5 miles away from a TTar raid...Spoofers were chatting it up trying to get us to commit to a hard start blah, blah.

They made their own hard start, a woman rode up and needed to be back at work, she couldn't wait for the level 30...I told her to jump in with the spoofers, but also trying to hold the others from going in too. Her serious remark since the gyms were my color and not hers: That's why all these gyms get taken over all the time...SPOOFERS!

We got another 37 who was driving by to help and we beat DT/EQ easy. It is not spoofers flipping gyms in this city, literally anybody can at any time--on a cloudy day: guarantee it can be done in less than 5 min by ANYBODY

I just put in whatever Pokemon I want candy of. If I want ralts candy, I just put in all ralts in every gym. If I want chansey candy I put in chansey blissey. When I'm lure grinding I end up with hundreds of berries in my bag. I just type in defender and goto the gym and feed them all raspberry and nanab berries. I keep all pinap. I usually get anywhere from 3-5 candy a day from feeding berries.

There are no significant changes. Compared to the old tier list, Gyarados goes down to B or C tier, Gardevoir is A tier, Slaking is B tier.

I find Slaking a piece of cake but I can see it being a deterrent to casual and less knowledgeable players who do not know the right counters and still think high CP rules.
