So...Slakings moves are ranked DG as A, then HB and EQ. I just caught a lvl 30-one with 84% 14a/9d/15s and it has HB. I went with it because lower defense means more energy gain which obviously is essential for Slaking to get it's charge moves off, right?
With the dodge glitch still not solved and the low defensive stat, will Slaking get the HB off? Will it one-hit a lvl 30 Machamp with the HB? (Even when dodged I assume it should die?). For me the goal is to KO the enemy while DG will deal a lot of dmg if you can launch two, but will the lvl 30 Machamp die? Are there simulations about this? Thanks! ?

If it has more than 200 HP it has a chance of launching HB. Higher Defence can actually increase that chance by allowing for more time between slaking charge his bar and the time he faints. HB will KO a lvl 30 machamp if not dodged.

So this means a lvl 30 machamp will get KOed regardless with the dodging bug.

I assume that with DG you mean PR (Play Rough)

I fought a 3500 Slaking today, just to see how it is. My 2800 Machamp wiped it out before it could use any charge move at all, so probably Hyper Beam or Earthquake. Definitely needs to be powered up to a higher level to be a real defensive threat, and Play Rough would be much better than either Hyper Beam or Earthquake.

I predict the best use for Slaking is going to be win-trading to get gold gym badges since badge experience is based on the defender's CP.

Did I miss out in something? Is badge experienced related to defender's CP? And if Yes, how so regarding the CP decay?

Badge cp gained by the attacker equal defender cp/100. So if you beat a 4000 cp slaking you gain 40 badge cp.

My bad, I misread win-trading for "When trading" and figured it had something to do with defending gyms with higher CPs. Happens when you wake up in the middle of the night.

Thank you!

2800 machamp is close to max. That's probably something that most players don't have. PR will be charged once, but will one PR take out any viable attacker? For me the goal would be to one-shot as many attackers as possible make him use his revives. Also with low defense his energy gain will be fast, so HB will get ready faster to make that possible.

Yeah, close to max Machamp. My point is Slakoth's CP is inflated. Even though it may look like it is already higher than any other defenders you already have, you would still have to power it up to the same level that you would power up other defenders.

Just caught 2 wonder Slakoths level 35 Today and not decided to do anything with these guys yet. Any advises would be greatly appreciated.

what is the worst fast move Slaking can get if Niantic decided to introduce new moves? Would it make Slaking way better than it is now?

"With the dodge glitch still not solved and the low defensive stat..."

Dodge glitch only exists in raid battles, not gym battles. As long as your Machamp dodges, he can definitely survive from Slaking's HB or he will be one-hit. He can survive from a single Play Rough even without dodging.
