I just don't understand, why would gamepress think that Psychic is the best defensive move for Slowking

Water Gun doesn't rate, so obviously Confusion is better. But, Confusion/Psychic, just deals little damage to Tyranitar lol. Blizzard, at least, deals neutral damage to Tyranitar, and even considering STAB, it has a higher base power. It should be strictly superior to Psychic, not on par. Unless you are using Iron Tail + Fire Blast, dodging those Psychics shouldn't be a problem with your Tyranitar for most experienced players.

I still say that the defence moves of anything other than Blissey are X.

Meh. At the very least it's worth considering what movesets perform the best against the popular generalists/counters to popular defenders, like Dnite, Ttar, Raikou, maybe Machamp. Planning for what people will bring to the battle will at least make bringing down the gyms a bit more difficult than normal.

Except that a gym can have only one Blissey.

My Chansey and Slowbro tend to stay longer in gyms than my Blissey.

Because there is no way in hell where i get hit by a blizzard. It takes 2 years to charge.
On the other hand, psychic suprises people half of the time.
