Pidgeot competitive use?

Does Pidgeot have any sort of competitive use for the flying DPS? I'm thinking of evolving level 35 82%+ pidgeys to 18xx pidgeots but wondering if they will still be useless.

It has rubbish attack but the moves are both Stab flying. All other legitimate flying users like dragonite and Charizard don't have both flying moves.

Scyther works but I highly doubt I'll see a level 35 one in the wild with good IVs.

same boat here. I happened to "plus" a 100iv lvl 34 Pidgey. I'm keeping it for now....but wondering if it has any use.

Great Catch! Might not have any use now but 2 years down the road when Mega Evolution come out Mega Pidgeot will be the sky champ!

Hurricane is the only really good charge move. A high-level, high-IV AS/H Pidgeot would be nice to have, but the other movesets are underwhelming.

Crobat is another decent mon with a STAB double-flying moveset. Thanks to weather-boosting, I now have a level 34, CP 2219 AS/AC Crobat, which cost me zero stardust. Air cutter is a sucky charge move, though.

In what situation would a double flying moveset be useful where another type would not be? None of the Pokemon that are double weak to flying are a challenge to defeat. Pokemon that are single weak to flying also have another exploitable weakness so a mixed-type moveset is still viable.

Even in windy conditions, Pidgeot doesn't show up on raid counters where it would be strong. Pokemon that have single type advantage and better stats still outperform it.

If Heracross becomes a raid boss which I highly doubt because it's a regional exclusive, Scyther is still going to be better than Pidgeot even if underlevelled due to it's bug typing and higher attack.

If you lack potions you can use them and transfer them when they've fainted, but I don't see a point in keeping them until gen 6, unless they're near-perfect and you collect extremely high IV Pokemon, but 37/45 doesn't cut it for me if it doesn't have a use.
