Mewtwo catching pointers

After months of complaining, Niantic has finally blessed me with the elusive EX raid passes as a gift on Christmas day. I did one for a friend and didn't get him with 7 balls (Only valor in raid and level 22 so I did crap for damage) despite golden razz and greats. I'm doing mine next so any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Pure RNG. He should be no harder to catch than a tier 4 boss which i can do most of the time unless if they attack all your balls or you cannot throw them at all.

I've heard that you can hold the ball until it's the size of the Mewtwo's headand when he attacks, curveball and hit the circle.

He is also very far away, almost like Groudon or Lapras so make sure you throw far.

I had NEVER saw an ex raid pass personally so my tips are from youtube videos.

The probability part of catching the Pokemon is down to luck but can be increased by better throws.

As for actually hitting the balls you can completely eliminate the random element of the Pokemon jumping or attacking by timing your throws, as there is a cooldown after attacking where they cannot do anything, so if you throw your ball during the attack, by the time it hits, the Pokemon will have already finished it's attack animation but be in that short window where it cannot do anything, guaranteeing a hit.

The coloured circle also remains the same size if the ball is thrown during the period where it attacks and the circle disappears, so you can hold the ball until the circle gets to a size small enough that you can consistently hit the inside it, wait for the Pokemon to attack and then throw it in during the attack animation, guaranteeing a hit that is also inside the circle.

ProdigiesNation made a video on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qdjCk-cT08

So pure RNG is false. Even though there is some randomness, some of it is in the player's control. Yes it's possible for someone with poor throws to catch a Pokemon and for someone who throws all excellents + curves + GR to not get it, but in the long run someone who throws better will catch more.

If your group is over 12 people and it's non Focus-Blast, consider splitting the group by team so everyone gets more Premier Balls.

Trim fingernails before the EX to ensure best throws, and I would go for very small great circles above excellents, since one throw outside of the circle would be like several greats bonuses instead of excellents
