Mewtwo team - good enough?

Got my first EX Raid pass (Level 39 - 3.5M to Level 40, Free to play, Silver Gym Badge) for Christmas Day.

Here are my teams for both Non Focus Blast and with Focus Blast (in order) - comments appreciated.

Non Focus Blast:
- Gengar CP 2347, Level 34 - SC / SBall
- Tyran 3340, Lvl 34 - B/Cr
- Tyran 3216, Lvl 32 - B/Cr
- Scizor 2457, Lvl 32 - FC/XS
- Hound 2065, Lvl 30 - S/FP
- Dragonite 3195, Lvl 33 - DT/O

Focus Blast:
- Gengar CP 2347, Level 34 - SC / SBall
- Tyran 3340, Lvl 34 - B/Cr
- Tyran 3216, Lvl 32 - B/Cr
- Dragonite 3195, Lvl 33 - DT/O
- Gary 2845, Lvl 31 - B/HP
- Gary 2838, Lvl 31 - B/Cr

Not sure about Hound - I caught it as is but I have better IV ones (Lvl 30, 2121, S/Cr) and (Lvl 20, 1432, S/Cr)

Alternately, should I use two Lvl 32 Tyran with B/SE?

Thanks and good luck to you all!

Non Focus Blast: Not really necessary, but out the Dragonite and the Scizor for the B/SE Tyranitars.
For Focus Blast, you're good to go.

Use the SE ttars in the non FB team instead of the dragon and houndoom. I would also put the scizor in the FB team instead of HP Gary and prepare a second team to rejoin quickly.

Houndoom is better than SE Ttar. 2-bar SE STAB is always better than 1-bar neutral STAB. Not to mention Foul Play is much better than Stone Edge.

Like gluglumaster mentioned I would prepare a second (and possibly a third team) just in case

If there are more than 8 of you he'll go down like a sack of spuds, so just go with your six quickest whatever moves he has.

It'll be my first EX raid as well (level 39, bronze/sponsored gym; it was only my 3rd legendary raid). I'm planning to power up my 4 Tyranitar to the highest breakpoint, haven't decided on the others yet. I just hope enough players show up! What's the minimum needed (assuming high level, good counters?)

We did it with four (L40, 38, 37, and 32) yesterday on a C/SB Mewtwo. Had plenty of time left.

Thanks. We should have enough then. :D

Congrats (I assume you got your Mewtwo)!

Unless you're using a team of pidgeys, then yes.
Honestly, if you have at least 10 people you're fine. It's more impactful if a single extra person comes than if X pokemon should be chosen over Y pokemon.

Use the same team for focus blast and none focus blast. Its an every easy raid. More important to review the Mewtwo catch videos to learn how it moves and when to throw.

For most Mewtwo raids, what you decide to use really doesn't matter. Really. The reasons being:
- You'll likely have 10 to 20 trainers in the raid
- No matter what mon you use, your damage number is likely to be 1.
- If you are split into color teams, you are guaranteed a team contribution of 3.
- If your team controls the gym, then you get +2.

That's really it. The rest is up to your throwing technique and luck.

You will get the same number of balls using two/three teams of six murkrows each, as compared to the teams you proposed.

Having done very few group raids, I'm confused about the damage number. Is 1 the minimum you can get if its a mixed group? What is the minimum number of balls you get if nothing is in your favor (enemy gym, outnumbered, etc)? I may need to really work on my throwing technique ... (at least I caught 2 out of 3 legendaries).

Sorry to have confused you. Some facts:
- The minimum number of balls you get is 6 (bare minimum).

- The minimum number of ballls from your personal damage contribution is 0, Max is 3. (I said, you usually get 1 damage in a large-group Mewtwo raid, because, most players are competent and mid- to hi levels, but damage ratio is diluted over a large number of players.) So, the smaller the group size, the bigger portion of the damage you will contribute. In a raid group of 1 (yourself), you will always get 3 balls from damage (100%). In a raid group of 2 about equal-strength mon, each will get 3. etc.

-The balls from TEAM contribution is 0 to 3.

- The balls from gym control is 2.

SO, the maximum number of balls you get is 14 (=6+3+3+2).
The minimum number of balls you get is 6 (=6+0+0+0).

Since, the next Ex-raid is on Christmas it is fair to anticipate that attendance will be low. This might be the only time to actually care about your team. That being said. I'd just go with the hardest hitting multi-bar move mons you got. I would also prep 2-3 teams since 5 minutes is a long time, and don't bother dodging.
The Scizor might be a little soft though (but hey if it's raining go for it) put him on the second or third team.

Unless they're out of town, it appears (on Discord) that the holiday won't stop anyone.
I'll have to leave work early, but I have a plan (and a backup Plan B, involving my phone/account and my family, as well). But since most people don't have to work on Christmas they may actually be be more likely to attend.

Edited to add: I got my pass on Dec. 16, but apparently more people received passes for Christmas today (19th). Maybe complaints to Niantic were successful (I don't know if EX-raid passes go out on more than one day for the same raid).

EX-Raids have decreased in the amount of trainers are invited, and, given the time, the group may be very small. My town just had a EX-Raid fail because only 5 trainers were invited and they were one trainer shy of beating it.

I would only use the Gengar if Mewtwo knows Psycho Cut, and I would also include the Tyranitar with SE over the Dragonite with Outrage. Survivability isn't going to be a huge factor in this one. Houndour will be an okay counter, but, if Mewtwo knows Confusion/Shadow Ball, consider switching it with a B/SE TTar for a little more survivability to get more damage out there.
