About today

Hi all. I am anxious for news about gen 2 or anything else today like we are expectating. Whats the common time that they release updates/news? i live in Brazil and normally here we just can download it from Google Play 1 day after.

As it has been answered in the other question (https://pokemongo.gamepress.gg/q-a/pokemongo-1212-time), a prominent guess is 2pm UTC, based on the assumption that they release their news approximately around the same time.

On the other hand the announcements made at 14.00 UTC were strictly targeted at the american players, regarding Starbucks and Sprint. It seems to have been made sometime in early morning in the US, depending on time zone.

This ought to be global information so a more logical choice could have been midnight or early morning UTC.

Either way, as I write this it is 14.30 UTC and I have still not found any information from Niantic/PoGo. Did they actually say which year the announcement would be made, on 12/12? ;-P

I cant find anything in Niantics website where they confirms something for today. Someone link it pls?.

It may have been that the "leaked" info from Starbucks started this rumour. Too bad Niantic has not bothered to comment or deny the rumour.
