Hatched 100% Magby. Would Magmortar make it useful in the future?

It probably won't get more than 25 extra attack as Magmortar, current Magmar base stat on attack seems to be 206. Though it's nice to have it in the 100% collection.

Magmortar has a forcasted CP of 2980. With that being said it won't replace Moltres or entei but I don't think it'll be a bad fire type either I have a maxed out Charizard that i use in raids and it is fine.

I got a pretty good Charizard too, though not the best, at around 96% with only max attack. He's been useful, but I tend to use my 98% Typhlosion vs steel types, he ate chunks of a Mawile's HP, and the Rhydon finished it off.

If it stays that way, with 247 attack it would actually be a great addition to my team, even replacing my Typhlosion. Thanks for that link.

Magmortar is the best nonlegendary fire type in the first 4 gens, but does not hold a candle to the legendaries. It's certainly going to be a good fire type if movesets don't screw it over and Magmar candy is much easier to get than legendary candy.

Well, I have a grand total of 0 legendaries and I think I'll probably have a Magmortar before any fire legendary anyway.

I'm hanging onto two 100% Electabuzz waiting for Electivire, but not sure what to do with them since they are only level 20 & 20.5.

Electivire looks pretty cool and seems it may have a bit more attack power than Magmortar. At some point when you've maxed out everything else you might be able to spare Stardust for them.

Magmortar's stats are very similar to Flareon's. It will all come down to movesets.
