Is weather nerfing Gen 3?

I walked around a large public park, and didn’t catch a single Gen 3, but got a bunch of worthless weather spawns.

For the record, I’ve only experienced sunny and partly cloudy since the update.

There are only 50 gen 3 mons and 250 gen 1-2. In my area sunny weather brings lots of seedots and the occasional mudkip, but in partly cloudy I usually only see trash.

I haven’t seen a Mudkip or Torchic, and it was “sunny” for a week after the update. NEVER saw a Torchic.

I never saw torchic or treecko, but already have enough mudkip candy for a swampert from a nest nearby. Even caught a wild marshtop.

Finally got some clouds and I cashed in some Machop candies, level 35 (15a/8d/12d).Instant best fighter (yeah right on it being instant, did 25+ Machamp raids for candy and level 20 fighters). Getting a pulse on the city by looking at the raid map...tons of Torchic spawning everywhere but none near me

Although weather is a good idea (one of the few by Niantic) it's unbalanced for obvious reasons.

They should ditch the useless fog and replace it with *dawn/dusk.* Snow could be replaced with *cold.* These are much more likely weather conditions.

In the meantime, power up those Enteis and Moltres! Niantic might Rebalance the weather in a year or two. Maybe.

If i was on Niantic i would sort this game out with my bright ideas.

Still waiting to see what this weather thing is about. I have only had extreme weather since it started

I had sun every day until partly cloudy on Wednesday night and now cloudy on Thursday night. Each type has some trash: paras, pidgey, venonat, weedle, but if you move around you'll find the good stuff of that type.

Agree to disagree. I got no fire during a week of sunny. Instead I got a lot of trash grass.

Today was my first partly cloudy, and I got ONE geodude spawn and a ridiculous ton of Eevees.

All the while, I struggle to find Gen 3 despite my movements.

I live in Phoenix. Yesterday it was perfect outside: 75 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. The BAM! extreme weather warning. Nothing showed up at all for a couple hours. Turns out there was an air pollution warning. I've lived in Phoenix for 30 years. Most of the winter consists of air pollution warnings and almost the entire summer is a heat advisory. If they don't correct these things Pokemon Go will be almost entirely unplayable across most of the Southwestern US throughout the year.

I assume the same could be said for northern cold climates where it snows a lot. I live in the southeast and we had snow for the first day or so of the weather implementation. Snow in the South and snow up north are two different things, as it never snows here and it was hardly extreme, but the spawns were certainly decreased. I can’t image living where it’s more frequent.

Sunny and light cloud here but wondering if torchic has even been marked as a fire spawn. Only seen one.

I think it depends on where you live but so far the gen 3 starters seem to be most reliably caught in nests.
