Level 5 raids after Dec 14th?

There will be something. There has been since raids came out, and Niantic knows its the greatest current attraction.

Doubtful, unless Mew or Celebi makes an appearance in conjunction with the Christmas event. However, it’s long been discussed Delibird is going to make its debut for the holidays.

If they are smart, they'll bring back the Birds and the Dogs for the X-Mas holidays. (Which will SUCK for me because I'll be in small-town Canada, so I might not even be able to play after the first day. Let alone do a Legendary Raid.)

What would make me a Niantic Fan forever would be if they dropped the Legendary's down to Soloable levels for Xmas, letting as many people try for them as possible. ('m also hoping for a winning lottery ticket, which might be more realistic)

I would hope Niantic doesn't release Gen 3 legendaries literally right after they released only half of Gen 3 Pokémon. I'd like to enjoy the rest of Gen 3 (while we still can) before we hit the legendaries. Releasing legendaries now would make Gen 3 stale in the long run, and Niantic should try to keep Gen 3 as fresh as possible by releasing the legendaries slowly. Plus, I could use a small break from all the legendary raiding done for the past five months.
