Which is the better Gen 3 to power?

Ended up catching a bunch of Ralts and Torchic over the weekend. I almost have enough candies to make a Gardevoir and I currently have a Blaziken. Which is the better option to power up? I heard Gardevoir is pretty beastly. I've also been looking for a good Breloom to power because I heard he was also good

The only thing Blaziken is really best at is countering Blissey from what I understand, bc it resists DG while other fighting types dont.

Gardevoir's fairy typing gives it slightly more utility IMO.

I suppose by the same logic, Blaziken may also be best at countering Slaking.

Machamp is seen to lose only about 1/3 of his HP to slaking in 3 cycles of gym battle when both are maxed. Slaking is a non-issue.

I think Gardevoir is my favorite of the Gen 3 pokemon and has that fairy utilization you pointed out. It is a little bit disappointing that it doesn't have a fairy quick move but it still looks like a very promising pokemon.

Blaziken doesn't resist Fairy, it's neutral to it. Which is still a good advantage over other fighting types that are weak to Fairy.

Having a high cp mon with a STAB fairy charge move is something I value in gardevoir

That's another one that is on my list. I unfortunately haven't caught or even seen that many of those around though. Have you tested it out? How does it compare to some of the other new fighting pokemon introduced in Gen 3?

Unfortunately both Hariyama and Blaziken fall short of Machamp vs Tyranitar in sims. Hariyama is closer though.

Gardevoir's Fairy-typing literally covers all of its Psychic weaknesses except Ghost. The only type Gardevoir really has to fear is Steel, since Pokemon have been getting Heavy Slam more commonly now.

Blaziken, though sporting key resistances to Fairy and Steel, whilst also losing a resistance to Rock-type attacks, doesn't have the bulk to back it up. It is useful as a Fighting Attacker, but there are better options for Fire attackers.

For comparison's sake, Gardevoir is comparable to Scizor but with a much larger Defense.

Blaziken is comparable to Scyther but with the offensive power of a Scizor.
