How good will gardevoir be? In countering meta staple salamence

Will gardevoir be used in this way or will it have much impact since it doesn't get a fairy quick move?

If it doesn't have a fairy quick move, I don't see it being used as a Dragonslayer

Depends what you mean with countering. Confusion/Dazzling Gleam is an incredible defensive moveset and makes Gardevoir pretty much a hard counter to Machamp, Dragonite and Salamence as a gym defender.

It's a good attacking moveset too, but ice types are still better at killing the big dragons. Fairy fast move probably wouldn't change this either.

Hmm i was wondering if it would see use. Seems a pity given how good its stats are and how good it is in the main games haha. But i guess not.

Gardevoir would survive extremely long against a Dragonite/Salamence raid boss while dealing a little bit worse DPS than Lapras, which is the lowest ice type DPS counter. Certainly not a bad raid counter but you probably want to go for maximum DPS instead.

It's not a supreme dragon-slayer because it can't hit them for double SE damage, but I'm pretty sure it's going to be relevant in the meta one way or the other. Good stats, good typing and good moveset.

Sounds like Gardevoir would be great for attacking Dragonite and Salamance in gyms, especially if one is placed right after the other.

It'll be very difficult to counter (I can only think of Scizor or possibly Banette) until Metagross hits the scene.

Indeed. Confusion punishes any poison-type attackers hard. Scizor seems decent, next best bet are probably high neutral damage fire types.
