Legacy moveset

Hi community!
The indicators are now there for a change in moves and old ones will become legacy. This time I want to be prepared so that I have worthy legacy l moves.

Whats the general opinion, which moves on which mons will become legacy?

I tried asking a similar question a few weeks ago and got very half-witted responses.

My concerns are in movesets I don’t have, not in potential buffs/nerfs to existing movesets. We can’t predict which moves are going away, but you can TM your way to as many optimal movesets as possible and hope that they don’t get nerfed.

Example:
Machamp with Counter/ Dynamic Punch

In case either of those moves go away, you’re going to want your under powered Machamps to have that moveset, I assume. Other people however are excited at the potential buff of Close Combat. If that even more unlikely event were to happen, you would want one of both...
I’ll be sticking with the current optimal moveset and changing as many as possible to C/DP.

Off the top of my head, I made sure I had at least one of the following:

Ttar bite crunch and bite stone edge
Dragonite dragon tail Outrage
An Alakazam or espeon w futuresight
Machamp counter DP
Exeggutor w solar beam
Gyarados and vaporeon hydropump
Raikou w wild charge
Scizor fury cutter x-scissor (fun moveset to use)
Golem w rock throw and stone edge
Rhydon w mud slap earthquake (could become legacy and get a buff)
Blissey w dazzling gleam
Snorlax w hyperbeam
Donphan w earthquake
Shadowball gengar
Flareon entei and moltres w overheat
Lapras double ice moveset

Think if you have most/all of those then u should be fine.

Thx, that was a great reply. I got all them. I missed out on Nite with DB/DC and gengar with SC the last time.

Any other moves anybody see thats relevant?

The thing with moves going legacy and the nerfing/buffing of moves is that we dont know which moves will get what.

Take Exeggutor for example; If TM's existed before gen 2 everyone would have fast TM'd Confusion away and would have gotten Zen Headbutt. Because it was strictly better on offense (same energy gain per use but lower cooldown). Nowadays, Confusion is much better than ZH.

In short, todays trash can be tomorrow's treasure and we dont know what is going to be what.

Edit: i like to be save and have one of every moveset, i have more meta relevant mons like this

Stone Edge Rhydon.

For no other reason that if Rhydon gets a rock fast move, but has Stone Edge taken away, then this could become a key rock move to have.

At the end of the day anything is just a guess, and I imagine most of the big winners/losers of any reshuffle will not be considered until it happens.
