Things in PoGo that make you irrationally miffed
What things in PoGo get you irrationally miffed? I don't mean RAGING, or even Angry. I don't mean things that are rational, like not catching a Raid Boss when you've hit them with a Golden Razz, a Curveball and an Excellent throw.
I mean things that when you stop for a second and think about it, are just irrational and rather embarrassing to be annoyed at.
For example: using a Great Ball and a Pinap to get double the candies on a Pidgey (because you need 1 Pidgey and 5 Candies to hit that magic Mass Evolution number you've randomly given yourself, like 30 Pidgey's and 360 Candies) ... and you catch your first Ditto in 2 months instead.

The main thing I can think of is the annoying little glitch how it almost always takes two taps to open an individual pokemon's page from the menu. Even though it only wastes a second or two each time, it's just irritating getting the little *dink!* sound effect thrown at me like it's doing something, but then nothing actually happens, so I have to tap that pokemon again to bring its screen up. And then because it usually does that, I freqently just assume it's going to happen and tap the pokemon's picture twice without waiting to see if the first try worked, so then the occasional time it actually did, it interprets the 2nd tap and subsequent attempts to scroll as trying to rename that pokemon with some random gibberish.
Related, but almost always when I click the "X" button to close the Nearby/Raid menu it doesn't close!
I have to tap the "X" button like 3-5 times to make it close most of the time. I think it's because everytime the nearby pokemon update the game is splashing the screen again before I can close it. So it's like I am trying to close a bunch of nagging pop-up windows one after the other. Of course, this only happens when you're out moving around and pokemon are updating. If you're sitting still it's usually ok.
Way before the gym rework, I deleted my perfect Feraligatr in spite of it getting Water Gun/Crunch as its moveset. Also deleted my perfect Butterfree because of a bad moveset, as well. It didn't hit me that I literally just deleted a perfect IV starter Pokémon until after about five minutes, and I instantly regretted it haha. And, now that TMs are a thing, I feel even more embarrassed and annoyed at myself for doing that. RIP to that Feraligatr :(((
Fortunately, I found a 98% IV Totodile after the rework, so I still have a really good maxed out Feraligatr right now, but damn, I still think about how stupid I was to delete a perfect Feraligatr to this day lmaoo. Never again!!
You know what really grinds my gears? When you try to open the ball or berry submenu on the catch screen and the game decides you want to throw a pokeball one pixel away from you. No one ever wants to throw such a crummy shot. The distance wouldn't even hit a pidgey. The ball and berry submenu should open if you touch it anywhere in the corner. The same goes for running.
On a similar theme, in battle there are two buttons next to each other in the bottom-right corner and nothing in the bottom-left corner. The number if times I've hit the wrong one... ugh. Either the run or switch button should be moved to the bottom-left corner.
And that weird swipe-up input to open the switch menu? I can never get it to open reliably when I try to use it, but it opens even just a few times is way too much when I don't want it.
Here's something that happened to me just an hour ago, when 6 of us got together for the first Suicune raid any of us had done in a week. We didn't think we were going to do it at all, so I was about to head over to solo the Porygon about a mile away instead, but then the 5th and 6th people said they could make it to the Suicune.
I walked over and waited for the others, then we had about 10 minutes left on the clock once the last person arrived, just enough time for a 2nd try if our first attempt failed. So we go in, choose our teams, and wait for the countdown to end. The fight starts, and all seems well, until one guy gets out of his car and walks over to show us that his game is stuck on a black screen that won't let him in. The rest of us fight for a minute or so to see if he can join, but he continues to just get the perpetual loading circle on a black screen, so we all back out and he restarts his game while the rest of us heal.
2nd try, everyone ready to go? Not yet? Someone's game is lagging? Only 6 minutes left now. Okay, ready, let's go again. Wait for the countdown, start the battle. Now someone else's game won't let them fight. Should we back out again? Oh, they finally got in, okay, let's hope we can win. Crap, Hydro Pump knocked out my best Exeggutor in the middle of my Solar Beam. Argh, dodge glitched my Raikou. C'mon 2nd best Exeggutor, do better than the first! Oh, come on, Hydro Pump in the middle of my Solar Beam again?! Zapdos then, your turn. Really, another Hydro Pump right in the middle of Zap Cannon? Down to my mediocre fighters now, but at least they're getting in more than one charge attack each. Crap, someone's game just crashed, hurry back in as fast as you can, 98 seconds left. He rejoins the fight just as my 6th fighter faints. Wow, it's actually letting me rejoin the battle, first time that ever worked. But why did it put my Lugia first, I need damage, not survivability! Waste a few seconds switching things around, then back in the fight. Wow, this is gonna be close, but it looks like we can make it. Everyone tap faster! 4 seconds left, we did it! Suicune's HP bar is completely empty, and we celebrate a close victory as it starts to shrink. But wait, what's this? "Time is up"? What are you talking about, we already won. It didn't count? What? Oh, and looks like the Suicune is gone now, of course, so we can't try again. And only 90 seconds left on that Porygon now, so that's out too.
Seriously, it was just one thing after another, a confluence of annoyances that all added up to make the entire difference. Errors, crashes, dodge glitch, all my best fighters fainting in the middle of their charge attacks, and the stupid reduced raid timer meaning we couldn't try again. Half an hour of standing in the rain, just to get nothing but frustration out of it. And for some reason, the red banner that just said "Error" was stuck at the top of my screen the entire time and just wouldn't go away, even though my game was otherwise working normally. It's like it knew the entire situation was going to be a fiasco, and was telling me to just give up.
The game teases me. 1. A pokestop opens up. I spin message says, "you're too far away. 2. I see a gym with an open spot. I try to place a mon and get a message, "the gym is under attack". Couldn't they have grayed out the "add mon" button? 3. I attack a gym with 3 mon in it. After defeating the third, there's a fourth, maybe a fifth, maybe even a sixth. 4. I do most of the work of defeating a gym. Someone from team C joins the battle when there are two or three almost completely demotivated mon in the gym, then beats me to placing a mon. This frustration is on two points. First, I think in this case, I should have priority. Second, them beating me isn't a matter of skill or strategy. They just have a newer, more responsive phone than I do.
