The last (Until gen 3?) power up question.

Have 1.2 mln stardust and really want to spend some more, staying over 1 mln... I recently caught a 98% (15-15-14 A/D/S) Donphan at level 29! Question is: is it worth it to power this up? I already have 2 RT/SE Golems at level 39 and 4 Tyranitars (2 of them with B/SE) at level 39. Alternatives beacause are:
1) Another Golem 93% at lvl 22, RT/SE
2) Entei 93% 15/14/13 or 96% 14/15/14 (Very hard choice for me, i’m a high IVs lover) FS/OH
3) Zapdos 87% 15/10/13 (My best one) CB/TB
4) A 2nd Vaporeon WG/HP 96 14/15/14
I also have at lvl 39 (to help your answers):
1 Mewtwo, 4 Dragonites, 2 Snorlaxes, Blissey, 2 Rhydons, 2 Gyaradoes, Moltres, Lugia, Raikou, 2 Machamps, Exeggutor, 2 Jolteons, Flareon,1 Vaporeon, Scizor, Gengar, 2 Lapras, Espeon, 2 Alakazams.
I don’t know what do, i’m very bored of this game and patiently waiting for Gen 3 makes me want to try something fun... Feel free to advise any other pokemon i didn’t mention☺️

I would say, keep your dust.

What does your ground team look like?
are the 2 Rhydons, Ground?

You already have pretty good attacking lines.

a Donphan would not help.

keep your dust.

So you have 29 pokemon at level 38.5 but no maxed out ones? Given this high number I assume you are at least level 38, so you could max out all those mons. It will make the mons you actually use in battle even better, and it will give you something to do (it will cost about 550k stardust). I'd say this is a lot better then powering up some random donphan that you will never use...

You’re right, my mistake, they’re all at level 39.

In that case you can still power up to 39.5. Will cost 290k dust, which is pretty close to the amount you are willing to spend.

Have you read the article that Gamepress has written about the most useful stardust investments?

Power up a second Mewtwo. Or save the dust for a second one if you don't have it yet.

I'd power up the 96% Entei if I were in your position, and power the Donphan up, but only to level 31. One point in attack often is the same for breakpoints (but not always). You don't have an Entei, and while you have Flareon and Moltres, Entei is better than Flareon (more tanky), and different from Moltres (no flying weaknesses). Plus, Entei has the second most powerful attack in the game (Overheat, after Solar Beam), with STAB, and can use it more than once in a fight (unlike many Flareons).
After that I'd do the Golem. I'm only level 35, but I have three Golems maxed out and a 4th candidate with RT/EQ that I'll CTM when I have enough of them. For the things that Golem does best, no one else competes right now, although Gen3 may change that. Even then, though, how long will it take you to get 4 Regirocks. Until that point, the 3 Golems will still be useful, even if not the best possible option. But that's a judgement call.
Outside that, save your dust and wait until you know what will come out in Gen3, so you can make intelligent decisions about what you want to do and how to get the best mon to do it with.

Why the 96% w/14 Atk instead of the 93 w/15 Atk?? Also, what’s the Fire Types place in the meta??

I recommend only powering anything that advances your goals right now. If powering the Donphan or one of your other options helps you better to be able to complete a raid boss you are aiming for then power that specific mon. Otherwise, if none of them advance your goals right now, you lose nothing to wait and see what your needs will be when new legendaries are release or when the meta chances with Gen 3 releases

Why do you want to power up a Donphan?

Before you can answer that, anyone responding is wasting their time--and yours, too.
