I don’t understand why people wait for double xp to get dex entries, you could have gained that amount of xp in the time it took you to come to this site and write up your post.

I'm not sure if I understand you? That would only be the case if I manage to find about 7 wild banette and dusclop right.

I don't understand why people want to get their dex entries asap. Especially by walking mareep and other useless mons

Tauros are extinct in the wild, I'm afraid. They were mostly wiped out by the Great Natu Scourge of Winter, 2017, though some stragglers were reported (unconfirmed, alas) as being seen in the Wild as late as August of 2017. Since August 2017, however, even fleeting sightings of the formerly ubiquitous Tauros have dried up, and they are officially extinct in the wild.

Let's have a moment of silence for those three tailed bulls.

(have the other Regionals gone extinct in the Wild too, or is that just something with the Tauros? Seriously, I used to see so many I ignored them before Gen 2 came out. I caught about 140 in the first 3 months, and if I've caught 5 in ALL of 2017 I'd be amazed it's that high. I haven't even seen one on my radar since the Legendary Raids began.)

Mr. Mine are still all over the place. I read that far fetchd has become very rare as well. Considering to go to the USA some day and try my best for Taurus, but it seems like it's gonna be a lost challenge.

European here. I think Mr. Mime rates have been higher, but we still see enough of them that they normally get ignored when they appear.

All regionals but heracross are useless now, so I guess they all get ignored worldwide.

The white man has hunted them to extinction.

Kangaskhan is dropping in numbers but can still be found.

When Gen2 came out, his catch/flee rate seemed to changed and he became much easier to hit with a Pokeball. Prior to that he was hard to hit (like DNite used to be) and would get out regularly - basically he wasa ball hog.

Once Gen2 dropped he became significantly easier to catch, and the chance of spotting one didn't change.

Over time he has become less prevalent but he is still around.

I suspect he was kept fairly common as he had been so painful to catch prior to the changes, but is now falling in line with other reports of regionals for 'rarity'

I have all 5 Gen3 released so far.

I still do not have a Pupitar. I've wild caught or hatched about 8 Larvitar and caught about 6-8 Ttar in raids. I've never seen a Pupitar. It just doesn't seem worth it to burn 25 candy just to get a Pupitar.

Yes it may be technically "better" to do that but I don't want my first Machamp to be from a raid. Plus I don't have anyone to help me defeat one.

Missing four remaining non-North American regionals.

I caught unown with the help of a scanner. Other than the unreleased and regionals(other than Corsola) I have caught em all without the use of a scanner.

I walked a lot of 'useless' mons for entries and I don't regret it at all. I was very happy to evolve my second Ampharos (moderately junk stats) just to have male and female registered in the dex. Plenny of candy on standby if I choose to power up and evolve my 95% Me feel. Low priority with a maxed Raikou, Zapdos, and Volteon.

247/251? How did you catch Delibird, Smeargle and Unown?

Delibird and Smeargle are not in the game right now, Unown is. Very rare but for example ive caught two in the wild and many many more in events. The dex entries from Hoenn region bring the total number of possible dex entries to 251, i am missing Mewtwo, Corsola, Far Fetch'd and Tauros.

I knew that Delibird and Smeargle are not in the game, which is why I asked how you reached 251, completely forgetting that the five Gen 3 species increased the maximum.
