Another round of EX raid passes has been given out

According to pokemongohub.com, this time mostly to those who haven't received any, at both sponsored and regular gyms. Have you got yours? I still haven't. What the eff are they testing? What are their criterias of choosing who to be given anyway?

No. 120+ raids. 0 ex raid passes.

There are several people on a local Pokemon Raids facebook page who have received a pass after doing only 8 - 15 raids.

So far I've done 34 normal raids and 198 legendary raids and still get none.

150+ raids, 0 ex raid passes.

Never gotten an ex raid pass. To be fair I only have 30 regular and 30 legendary raids completed. But either way the system is busted.

250+ raids, still nothing.

I have done 45 Legendary raids and 37 normal raids and I just got my first EX raid pass for tomorrow. It was because I found the time to do a Sprint sponsored gym raid on my lunch break. It was a vaporeon that I did with two other instinct players at an Instinct gym. I have no idea what the criteria is though other than it being Sprint Sponsored.

...but most countries don't have Sprint, or any other sponsored stops, so we don't even have that little crumb of information to help.

No one else knows what it takes to qualify for an EX raid pass, but you seem convinced you have the answer.

If you live in a region that has a high EX raid/gym ratio, and there's a solid group of active players, and you're in the United States. Last week there were 4 locations hosting EX raids (sponsored and non-sponsored) for all of NYC. There are literally hundreds of gyms in NYC. Congratulations for playing in a good area for EX passes, but for most of us, it's near-impossible.

If my 112 raids aren't enough by your criterion, how about the players in my Discord who have 1000+ each with no pass?

So a bit over 1 raid per day. I mean, if you’ve done 40 raids a week and didn’t get ex pass for gyms you just raided, sure, bitch all you want. But it doesn’t sound like you’ve been trying.

112 raids, nothing. I found out today that I actually did a raid at a gym that was just announced to be hosting one, so that's both progress (my area has tons of gyms and few EX raids) and a sucker punch at the same time.

116 raids (none legendary).

I had foolishly thought this might help rural players by getting them together at a given time/place... when is the beta test over?

Never i guess. Cuz they dont know what they are testing.

Not even close to an EX Pass. At this point I do not even care anymore. Hated the concept of EX Raids from the beginning.

From my whole country I heard just of one city that had EX Raids till now.
But I see this Youtubers who have 3 or 4 Mewto already...it sucks.

I have covered my whole city (40-50gyms) and have about 300raids since Articuno.

My area got one for this round (our 2nd now), but so far it looks like only one person has actually received an invitation for it.

The only thing I can see they are testing is our patience......

I've been an active player of the game since almost the beginning. I've grumbled about a few things, but basically continue to enjoy the game.
That said, I want to see whoever came up with this ex-raid pass idea with his head on a pike.
We can't choose the time and place where we play. We can't choose who we play with.
I'm not some lab rat to be lead by the smell of a mewtwo through the lab maze.
That this offensive idea has been pushed for months, now, is completely ridiculous. Just release mewtwo as a rare raid boss, or a rare wild catch. Stop toying with us!

It's ridiculous and frustating that I don't have any pass for those mewtwo-hosting gyms that I've raided before.

...but it is interesting that todays EX raid in the area failed as there were not enough players that showed up with invitations. Mewtwo didn't even get down to the 'red' before the timer gave up.
Funny enough, there are MANY of us that raid the area together regularly that felt we could have got an invite...and I guarantee it would have fell if we were there.

Was it at an inconvenient time? This just doesn't make sense... that too few players got invites.

Mid Saturday morning, at a nice local park...that has loads of parking and benches and shade.
The park is one of the favourite places to walk pokestops and restock for MANY players in the area.

A great place....a great time.

...just bad organisation.

If they invited everyone who had done 5-10 raids in the last 2 weeks within a 2km radius of that park, they would have made many loyal players very happy.
Can it really be that hard to do?

There was even someone there without an invite who was informing a Discord chat of a couple of hundred players from all over the city about the failure in real time.

Maybe all these frustrated players need to send Niantic some feedback.... repeatedly.

There were 4 players that turned up.
2 were serious players geared and ready, and 2 were casuals who happened to raid at the park at some point - their teams were not up to the task.

Yes it only takes 4-5 players...as long as 4 of them are well stocked. The moves set was even favourable - HyperBeam
