T4-5 raid effects on meta as more gens are released
*Tldr at the bottom if anybody needs it.*
The way pogo is currently headed, and as more legendaries and T4 raid bosses become available, it seems unlikely that many "standard mons" will remain at least somewhat relevant.
Do you think there will be a point in the meta, where no matter the case, a mon obtainable through T4/5 raids will be the best pick?
I can solo most T3 raids, and Machamp/Zam/Gengar are really nice;
But I need to drive for at least an hour to get to my nearest (more or less) active raid group, and an hour back, so I have almost 0 benefit from anything I can't solo.
With the lack of ("singleplayer") content and without communication and/or a roadmap from Niantic, I'm not sure how many more KMs I want to walk for buddy candy, knowing that other players transfer legendaries to make room in their box.
TL;DR:
How long until T4 and 5 raid bosses make every other mon irrelevant?

Collect dust and get better IV's of what you can get. Those of us with many legendaries spend tons of resources on them and we can get sloppy and neglect other worthwhile creatures. It is possible to beat Tyranitar with one good/great player and two average players--try to be that good/great player and look for and coach up some average players
I try to plan an army of all around attackers for the future but it is really hard when you are capped with number of mons, given that I like to collect the novelty ones too, just so that it doesn't get boring. I am tired of transferring shinies, my 96 plus mons, novelties, just because over time these legendaries just take up a ton of space. I transferred a 91 Chansey the other day and it just about killed me.
Watch: gen3 will drop, they increase the cap (we hope), just in time after I would have transferred a ton of great mons. That is the only part of the game I HATE, the cap of mons in your collection.
I've had the opposite problem. Driving home Sat, pass gym and see Suicune just hatched (as in 59:42 to go, just before times were cut to 45 min). Then I notice the clouds and thunder around the gym like a fight's going on, so I pull into the parking lot. 5 people in, I spend my pass and join them. 46 seconds to fight, I can't get the full team called up, but most of them are there. We fight, they are doing OK but not great, and we win with about a minute left. I relax and start to get out of my car to say hello, and I realize there's no one there. Not a person. In a 6 player raid, I was the only one on site, and joined by chance seconds before it would have been too late.
So in this case, one player, one phone, 6 trainers taking down a legendary. Kind of odd for me. Caught the Suicune, had Hidden Power: Fight, Bubble Beam, and CP 1541 - 10/10/11 (yes, 1 defense above the worst possible IVs). Very strange.
