Shuppets! Shuppets everywhere! I love this!

Much better than the Murkrows hogging all the spots at night. I hope Shuppets stick around, because they add more variety to the nighttime mons. And they actually have a use.

What use :P

Well, you turn them into Banettes and use them against psychic types like Alakazam bosses. Plus they have shiny versions.
Compared to Murkrow, that's way better, at least until Honchkrow gets released.

They have use for mass evolve, that's right. However I prefer Murkrow for catching. I am not able to consistently hit Shuppet with one hand while biking which costs me balls, unlike murkrow.

The mass-evolution is better suited for pidgeys, you can evolve them twice and get exp 3 times. I've wasted more balls trying to catch a murkrow (keeps popping out even with berries and curved balls, and most are high level) even if I do not miss, than on shuppets, although I do not ride a bike while playing. That sounds too risky to play it while riding.
I have managed to gather 1619 Shuppet candies, still waiting for a shuppet with high IV and good moveset though.

I found that annoying too. Every time I try to catch a Shuppet, I have to stop biking and use both hands to be able to throw the ball far enough. Then once you throw, they usually attack the moment you release the ball, then scoot to the edge of the screen the try after that. I've been wasting a lot more throws on Shuppets than I do for Murkrow.

Their idle animation got to be the worse of the game indeed. The ball has to travel so far that more often than not they attack or move away.

The murkrows can at least stay in one place for a nanosecond...

They pop out of the ball more often though. I got used to Shuppets, I have a massive collection of Shuppet candies. Murkrow candies not so much. And I catch anything that pops up around my house usually, but I avoid Murkrows like the plague.

Well they're good for the dark badge, that's about it. Though I assume most people now have it anyway from all the Houndours during the event.

I do agree with Shuppet being useful though, a high level Shuppet evolved into a Banette with Shadow Claw + Shadow Ball is about equivalent to a Hex + Shadow Ball Gengar but doesn't need to be powered from 20.

I've caught sneasels and houndours from nests for most of the badge's progress. Got my dark badge after catching a few more sableyes. I gave up trying to catch Murkrows after noticing that no matter what I do, they keep popping out of the balls at least 3 times, whereas shuppets seem to only pop out once or twice, even if they're twitchy.
I already have a 100% Murkrow though, so now I have no more reasons to waste balls on them.

Murkrow will be more useful next year than Shuppet.

For that I have a 100% Murkrow to evolve into Honchkrow. But not sure how well it will fare, it depends what attacks they will give it.
