Dragonite Question
How much inferior is Hurricane to Outrage? I'm planning to use one of my only 2 Fast TMs (I don't get many) to switch from Steel Wing to Dragon Tail, and want to make sure that the result is not still an inferior Dragonite. IOW, is this an A vs A- kind of thing, or an A vs C kind of thing.
Thanks

Yes, the gameplan with Dragonite is you ChargedTM Hyperbeam to get one of the good moves. Hurricane isn't quite as good as Outrage, but then, nothing in the game is as good as Outrage when doing neutral damage. Be happy with Hurricane, and if your next two Dragonites also get Hurricane, then think about a quick TM for that.
Consider this story: I had 2 Hu Dragonites (98% & 80%), I had two Outrage Dragonites (87%&84%) all between lv 30-32. Fearing that the Gen3 release coming soon could render Outrage legacy and not wanting to max a mid80's dragon nor a Hurricane dragon, I TM'ed the 98% to Outrage(luckily on 1st try).
So I maxed out my new 98% DT/O Dragonite. Less than one week later I catch a SW/HB 100% Dragonite. TM also Outrage. So now I have a 4 Outrage Dragonites including a 100%&98% w/Outrage and only one 80% hurricane Dragonite instead of 100% O & 98% Hu. If you can live with something like that happening (I can) then go for it.
I have 5 dragons. Three have DT/O and two have DT/Hu. Both movesets have uses. Hurricane ones good for solo Machamp. I have a bigger preference to Outrage for sweeping up gyms. It's more of an A vs B+ for me as I'm taking down gyms more than I'm doing Machamp raids. But it's definitely not a big gap.
