can you solo a raid with only lvl30 pokemon?

I got plenty of >90% IV pokemon, but my golden rule is to power them only to level 30 and no further, because I prefer to invest stardust (scarce resource to me considering that I play only after work) in as many pokemon as possible, instead of having only 4-5 gargantuan Mons and cretinism for all the rest of them.

I never soloed Alakazam, Gengar or Machamp. I actually just solo tier 2 raids, and even got some trouble with Weezing (running out of time)....

My question is: in order to solo those bosses, I have to necessarily power my Mons over lvl30?

Question: No
Last Paragraph: Yes.

Okay, technically it's possible to solo Level 3 bosses with Level 30 Pokemon. But that depends on you having a great phone and a great connection and the servers not lagging, so that you can dodge most Charge movies. It also requires you to have Attack of 15 for each attacker AND for you to have the perfect Attacker for the Raid Boss. So it's possible, but not likely.

Machamp and gengar are very doable with only level 30 mons. Lots of options for success.

Vap and Arcanine are possible but will require luck with supreme counters using best movesets only.

Zam only two movesets possible(PC/FS & PC/FB) will require nearly perfect counters, luck, and decent phone/connection.

Maybe.

Gengar is the easiest one.

For a Machamp Raid, you have to dodge because Alakazam and espeon got a bad defense.

For an Alakazam Raid, you need a bit of luck (right moveset, decent phone/connection, etc...)

My attempt (from level 29.5 to level 32 with 'only' two mons above 90%):

Don't set that rule to yourself. Later down the line you'd prefer having fewer maxed attackers than 5 Level 30s you might not even have the chance to use.

I may understand what you mean, but right now I have an army of wonderful pokemon lvl20 waiting only to be powered..... So to me it's a waste of stardust to power always the same mons
