Evolve a shiny Pikachu?

Would you do it? Most people I talk to say no don't do it but I'm thinking of evolving my shiny to a Raichu... I think they look cool.

Any reason to not evolve it? I will have to keep hunting for another one to keep as a Pikachu...

I have enough candy to spare, so I would do it. Then again I haven't evolved my shiny Magikarp and I also have enough candy for that.

I think a reason for evolving would be to obtain a moveset that may become legacy if* Niantic decides to update the movesets as they did with gen2's release and you obtain a Shiny Raichu that has such moves that become legacy

Which do you believe there will be more of: shiny raichus or shiny pikachus?

I don't have an answer for this ^

Neither at that useful so it's just a matter of which one you think will show off better.

I still can't figure out why the wild Raichu I caught during this event didn't have a witch hat. :/

Very Nice! I really like the look of shiny Raichu. Shiny Pikachu kinda looks sick... wrong colour of orange lol.

I think I will go ahead and do it. And yes to WaterYouWading4 - I do plan to get a second shiny Pikachu. I'm lucky where I live as they spawn very often. I usually catch 3-4 a day sometimes more. I'm over 2000 candies.

I have a shiny Raichu. And a shiny Omastar. My shiny Raichu is pretty low CP but can still hold a gym for a decent amount of time. Same with my shiny omastar. Really I evolved them and enter gyms with pride of capture. Other Pokémon can be the big battlers. I love taking a gym and leaving a shiny and seeing others enter their shinies.
