Still no EX pass...
Apparently they sent out another round...so frustrated. I've done almost 100 raids; not as much as some others who have yet to get a pass, but it still seems like it should be enough at this point.

I'm so sorry to hear that for you. I got another ex raid pass for next Friday about an hour or so after I completed my Mew raid this afternoon, same location at the same sponsored Starbucks. Another local group also got their passes for next week at their same sponsored Starbucks gym which they too completed this afternoon. Perhaps, you can raid at the closest gym that has had Mew raids and cross your fingers? Not sure if there's any correlation but it doesn't hurt to try. Crossing my fingers for you.
Problem for me is that those sponsored gyms will be "locked" in terms of other Raids from now till next Friday.
So I only have a few hours after next Friday's Mewtwo and when they send out passes for the week after. This is based on pure luck that IF there will be any other Raids at those sponsored gyms in that window of 4 or 5 hours... Oh well.
I always thought this would be the case, but in my area those two Sprint gyms and one Starbucks gym had 0 other Raids during the past week - Mewtwo yesterday was the only one. Several of us were constantly checking those gyms in the hope of doing a whatever Raid so that we can also get a chance, but nope.
Not a city at all if you can believe it. I'm on the Big Island of Hawaii. We have a very dedicated player base. What's more is the other sides of the island has not received one every time they've gone out. There are a handful of us who have caught every one.
Of that doesn't make you jealous, you should see the number of shinies our playerbase has. Oh and did I mention the weather. Move here.
I'm feeling increasingly more and more lucky that I actually received a pass a few weeks ago. They closest sponsored gym is 50+ miles away. My small town got one wave of ex passes when they gave them out to more rural communities. Since then, nothing. I guess this is what happens when they listen to feedback and make adjustments!
Yeah, I have no idea how to get an EX pass so unless Niantic makes it more clear, I'm not going to worry about it. I hate "guess what I'm thinking" games. There are no sponsored gyms convenient to me and I'm not going out of my way just for a hope or prayer that maybe I might just get an ex pass. I try to do at least one raid a day and spread my activity around to different gyms. that's the best I can do.
I only raided once at a Starbucks or Sprint the past few weeks. It was at a brand new gym, opened 10 days ago. The past two weeks' invites have been at Starbucks or Sprint. The Starbucks gyms in my city are only along highways/interstates. The other Starbucks just have pokestops. I'm in a 1.75mil city...the southside is poor...zero Starbucks, less than zero sponsored gym Starbucks. In NYC or wherever else, it is truly a needle in a haystack, even if narrowed to sponsored gyms. In my part of the city, 8 to 10 Starbucks gyms and half of them have EX raids this time. Similar with Sprint stores.
The system is very RNG it seems. I finally got my 1st EX Pass at a Sprint gym in our mall I haven’t raided since Raikou was out. We’re just about done with Entei before we get Suicune next.
I was bummed out because yet again I thought I didn’t get one because like everyone else that has yet to get one, I would follow all the little details from the ones that did receive them. Most important detail I remember is all of them saying that it just pops up when you open up the app like when events are going to give you the breakdown on what to expect.
I never once got the pop up ad saying “Congratulations”...
I just so happened to check my Journal to see when one of my defenders was knocked out from a gym I’m currently working on getting a Gold Badge for next when right after the journal entry of that Pokémon getting knocked, out is when I seen I got the Black Raid pass.
